Im wit mlagoo on this one...comin on the forums and braggin about makes it even worse IMO...U were already getting an amazing deal in the first place and then u just go and slip an extra 10k into your pocket without making them aware of it when your supposedly a respected member of the community is ridiculous...Dont get me wrong, im 100% for getting the best deal for yourself, but at least make them aware of the extra 10k and then negotiate yourself a better chunk of it than u deserve like u already did with the rest of the prizepool.......congrats on the win tho and negotiating yourself a sick deal (b4 the extra 10k that is)........

edit: shady might be a strong word. and obviously you were tired too and just saw an opportunity and took it. but i dont know, it just doesnt seem quite right.

i don't think shady is too strong a word; in fact, i don't think its strong enough. super scummy seems about right to me.

Re: SWEAT DEVO NOW, FTOPS.
Again we come to this issue of high profile players making horribly unethical decisions. This is why poker struggles to escape this image of a shady underground poker scene. If you don't think its shady at all, then imagine you and 3 guys just finished a long ass days work and upon collecting everyones paychecks the boss gives you an extra $20 for a good days work. Now, are you telling me that not giving those guys their fair share (a percentage of the work they did) isnt shady, or at least informing them that you got it?
What's funny is you already made a nice extra chunk by dealing fairly and picking up an extra 20k over and above your icm, why feel the need to slyly throw another 10k in your stack?
Just my 2cents

When we started discussing a deal, I said that I wanted 100k and didn't care who else got what, so I wasn't paying much attention to them making the deal/working out numbers etc. I got them to give me control of the deal, cause they couldn't figure out how to work it somehow, and when they did, I typed in the amounts for everyone that were being discussed. When I put everyone's amounts in, they all said that they accepted the amount they have. I didn't realize until I couldn't submit the deal that there was 10k left out (I thought it was the 10k that we were leaving to play for). When I realized this, I proposed that I got the additional 10k, since everyone else was happy with the number they had, and everyone accepted.

I don't even understand what the first bolded part means--does he mean once the dealmaking software was open, he assigned each of them numbers?
And if the second bolded part is true, where is the scumminess?
Can someone explain the exact chronology of events and why everyone thinks he was surreptitious in the dealing?

He didn't "propose" anything in the sense of actually typing it in chat, he just gave himself the 10k extra, sent the deal through for each of them to approve/deny and they approved

this, and after the other guys had agreed to give him 100k, not 110k.

In his story, he makes it seem like the other players were aware that there was an "extra" 10K and agreed to let him have it. Is that not accurate or what?

you missed something itt cause at first he phrases it how you're saying then in response to someone's question he says that he added the 10k to his name in the deal without telling the other 3 players.
