Not that I really consider myself a reg but I posted in BBV about shipping an $11 tourney for 10k and after everybody told me I really suck and should quit poker I got coaching and read a lot of tournament books. I might have donated the 10k back if it wasn't for all the negative comments in the thread but instead I've been actively working on my game and doing ok in Sunday majors.

So if you berate him for a bad play, then a few rounds later he finds himself in a similar situation (maybe against you), and he remembers your harrassment and makes a different move, that's not hurting your EV? Or if he decides not to play in this tournament or this casino anymore because the people he associates with there are nasty and confrontational, that's not hurting your EV? Or if he's so moved by your garbage he goes out to buy a book or Googles "Poker" and finds 2+2 to improve his game, that's not hurting your EV?

Also, do you think that you're playing in a vacuum? That what you say to one person doesn't resonate with others, who may not appreciate your bullying? Is it not possible that the "fish" two seats down can witness your arseholiness with an objective eye and learn a thing or two, and that dim bulb in their head gets a bit brighter. That's not going to hurt your EV?

nah, none of that hurts your ev or whatever. just get it in ahead and it'll all sort itself out.
