This hand comes from early on day 1 of the Goliath 1m guarantee
We are playing 9 handed when this hand comes up
My image is fairly active and I'm not getting too much resistance on most pots.. there are 2 agro young euros but other than that my table is soft

150/300 blinds

I open MP1 with AcJh
folds to sb who is a tight older man who hasn't played many pots
he calls and young euro completes the bb

Flop
Kc Jc 9h
checks thru

Turn
2s
checks thru
River
3c
ck
ck
I bet 1000
sb old man raises to 3400
bb folds

What does he rep here? no chance he check raises river with q10 when clubs get there and I also believe he would possibly lead clubs either on turn or river
Thoughts on how this hand was played?

Puzzling spot, not sure what to do, probably fold most times to river check-raise but need to know stack sizes. But I definitely would be bet-folding turn and then fold river to a lead if your turn bet was called; makes the hand easy to play.

Bet the turn like 1/2 pot IMO.

OTR I guess we just fold? I guess the old guy could probably be clicking it back because your line makes no sense.

why am I betting turn though? I'm never getting two streets from worse and whatever draws he does have isn't folding
stacks are 60bb effective

Deny equity. Get called by worse. Control the river action.

yeah I can see merits to betting turn but I was thinking I was only getting one street and thought it made more sense to get it on the river

You can probably get 2 streets on good run outs. A lot of worse JxXx hands will call turn and river when river bricks. You also have the best hand a lot when the turn checks through, and we don't want all their gutters or bad pairs to get a free card.
