Scoop 2016!? Scoop 2016!?

02-16-2016 , 12:58 AM
Definitely no kos for this established tournament series (Thursday thrill is fine I guess)
02-16-2016 , 03:01 AM
SCOOP last year had 2 Thursday Thrill and 2 other PKO events...
really dont think that this is too much!

Hope that every niche variant will get 27/215/2100 Levels, since I don't think that LO8 or some other random variant should be at other (higher) buy-in Levels. A seperate 8-Game Highroller makes sense, but all from horse over draw to Limit should be at 27/M/H buy-ins,imo, to allow everyone to at least play one level of their favourite game.

Ya +1 to this, no 6 max action hour in the schedule but it is one of the most fun tournaments to play. Should definitely be represented in Scoop.

Just a quick note here to mention that it's nice to be reading so much feedback while Version 2 is still in the process of being written. Obviously, some of the requests are more than a little fanciful, but there's some really good feedback in this thread, and I'm appreciative of it all... thanks, folks.

+1 to Courchevel or Courchevel hi/lo (which used to be in the schedule), and 5 card PLO8 would be nice.

Yeah +1 to all this.
Like a $27/215/2k and a $109/1k/10k 8-game would be awesome.

Version 1 this year is a pretty unreadable mess, including all of the possible events that could possibly make the cut, a much, much larger schedule than we'd ever actually run... so there wouldn't be much point in posting it.

When we have a schedule ready for your perusal and consideration, I'll be posting it here under a new thread, I guarantee it.

i was talking to 3 recreational players that play the ept today and they all told me that they love playing scoop and wcoop and take time off work just like for ept/wpt but they much prefer playing normal vanilla freeze outs than pskos. they said it was pretty fun but for big money preferred to play normally.

please don't over-do number of PSKO MTTs and drop the over 50% KOs completely^^

Variable Speed/Escalator >> Turbo

Would also be nice to pack some of the more exotic mixed games into specific days or have them start the earliest; they are hard to incorporate into an all-NLHE schedule at peaktimes

+1 to $27/M/H for most of mixed games

I'd guess at least 10 events will be SKO/PSKO Variant.

Variable level events will help but others (Turbo, Zoom, 10min levels) would be appreciated as well.
I understand the Turbo series was in January; just looking for a bit of a break to avoid super longs days other then punting.
I think you are in a minority here and I hope that nothing like this is added. SCOOP is once a year for a couple weeks. I look forward to the great structured tournaments during SCOOP, the last thing I want and I think many regs would agree is turning SCOOP events into hypers, turbos or 10 minute levels. We want good structured tourneys with BIG GTDs. If anything try and get them on board for doing GTD Boosts for the end of day turbos like the 215 turbo, 109 Turbo, and 55 6-Max Turbo which will have more people than normal during SCOOP.

This. Please keep the pskos at absolute minimum and I beg of you, NO ultra psko!!!

Really hopeful there would be 0 ultra progressive knockouts and a very limited number of kos/pskos.

I haven't decided anything for certain as yet, though I am leaning toward not having Ultra-Knockouts in SCOOP. They were pretty popular with the recreational players in TCOOP, but I'm thinking that they're just not necessary and that Progressive Super-Knockouts are a step far enough in terms of popularity. We do need to have a combination of purity and popularity in any such series which is intended to appeal to a very wide spectrum of the overall playerbase, something which I hope everyone reading this thread understands. Having said that, as I mention, I'm leaning toward thinking that perhaps Progressive Ultra-Knockouts are a step too far in the direction of popularity. We'll see. Thank you all for the feedback.

In the past its very exciting to see and be a part of tournaments with huge prizes up top during scoop but when you make such a high % of tournaments in coop series ko, it takes this excitement away.
