These are humorous, but the first two are actually things that make online grinding a lot easier than live grinding during June in Vegas.
It's a grind online, but you can take notes, eat, smoke (weed/cigs/?), use the bathroom liberally, enjoy various other media, etc. It's usually not that bad of a grind IMO (but I played no more than ~8 tables, usually 3-6... depending on time of day and whether grinding SNGs or not).
Two weeks in Vegas wiped me out. I had one day off (early in the trip) in almost two weeks there. Then my final full day ended early when I felted, so I had some time to relax and pack. WSOP first days had no breaks longer than 15 min., so playing from 3 PM to 2 AM without more than 15 min. at a time to pee, smoke, eat, drink, etc. Days 2 & 3 and the days at the Venetian were at least a little more reasonable, but Venetian was starting at 5 PM and going until 3 AM unless you busted. It probably affected me more, because I was on a more "normal" (work) schedule before and after, and also hadn't played any poker in 1.5 years (and no live poker in a few years). My feet are still flipping me the bird a week after returning.
If you enjoy the games you play and are playing well, you will find a way to adjust, but live is a lot tougher IMO (but also can be a lot funner in some ways). I wouldn't don't think I would want to grind live MTTs year round though, unless I had frequent long breaks in between big series. As it is, I don't think that would ever be an option for me anyways.
