Yes I am biased, but LOL guys--while I agree it would be good for them to publish the info, you are probably two out of six total people who care about it this much. Mass volume players leaving Stars? Sounds made up to me...

I doubt uhhmee even cares!

Obviously no one is going to leave Stars completely, but this could easily be the difference between someone like the OP playing 50+ Stars MTTs a day, or only playing the highest value ones across many sites. And I highly doubt UhhMee is so loaded that he doesn't even care about a free 30K.

He def cares about 30K but he is going to grind hard and play to win anyway and probably assumes Stars will do something along the lines of what they have done in previous years.

I still think marek/protential are overstating the case, and if you complain equally loudly about relatively smaller issues, it makes bigger issues more likely to get drowned out in the noise.

Also, Bryan said he was prioritizing the issue /thread

Agree a lot with shaniac. This affects like 10 people max. The wcoop schedule is infinitely more important than this tlb prize

Re: PS 2012 TLB ?? Bryan_PS, one time?

It doesnt matter if its more important the wcoop or not. Obv the WCOOP/SCOOP/TCOOP w.e is important to a larger % of players but that doesnt matter this isn't an issue that should have been resolved the first quarter of the year, at least..

Myself for example. I had 0 intentions of trying to achieve this goal but now i figured that I'm actually doing decent and might want to alter my schedule depending on what the first price will be. Obviously I will try to win every single MTT im playing but the MTTs im selecting might have some influence. I'm not playing $3 mtts for its first price. I will play them because they will have huge feelds and I have the potential of winning the leaderboard and it's price.

I agree with shaniac's point of view but that doesnt justify the fact that they hold a promotion and don't announce what this promotion actually means. Maybe in December they will come up and say bakingcookies baked us cookies and he'll ship them worldwide to the winner for a whole year long cookie festival.

Re: PS 2012 TLB ?? Bryan_PS, one time?

The weekly and monthly TLB prizes are very good imo. Recently I want to say I recall the weekly being as high as $8000. My suggestion would be to break the yearly into quarters and then have the 4 winners play off at the end for the bigger prize.

I would grind the TLB for this

find a mass volume grinder that is leaving stars because they havent come up with tlb reward to back up your statement before you make dumbass comments.

Here i am....

Marek doesnt say people leave stars, but they certainly drop volume.

I have two choices..

1) play all high stake mtts across all networks and gameselect well, only playing the best valued once with the biggest price pools, avg table # would be around 10 with 5 or 6 mtts of PS and the rest of other sites. In total I would have played 10-15MTTs on PS/day

2) Play with the goal of winning TLB + extracting more rakeback from PS + extra $s with weekly and monthly TLBs. Avg table # would be around 25 and I would have always 25 tables up. Play around 100-120mtts/day, 6 day per week.

So yes. Marek knows what he's talking about.

Yea and I see you on the top of the monthly TLB, so don't really get your point.

Re: PS 2012 TLB ?? Bryan_PS, one time?

i think marek was saying this is one of many reasons some stars regs are spreading more action to eurosites. the lag, guarantee drops, reg city, turbo heavy schedule with TOO high rake (been dismissed and brushed off several times), dead times in schedule, nothing new in schedule, months without improvements certainly hasnt helped matters either. he's not too far offbase. other sites and networks are closing the gap everyday, stars is still by and far #1 and the best company i've ever dealt with, but there's some strong competition for the #2 spot right now for MTT players with other sites improving schedules, adding new majors and catering to certain niches. there's a demand theyre capitalizing on that stars is not right now. the fear factor of black friday is also wearing off for relocated americans, as we slowly realize that SOME of these euro networks are very legit and established

that might sound critical, but it's my opinion, and i've never been afraid to publicly praise stars in the past

im excited for changes in the future at stars, the one change i was excited to see was switching 1500 bonus to 1600 at 100k for platinum stars so you dont have to be supernova to get a good rate on stars rakeback (this doesnt and wont ever affect me, but it's a step in the right direction for the games). i know some great things are on the horizon, but it's just a matter of when they're going to happen, and for some reason stars doesnt seem to be in a huge rush right now.

i know of myself, rh, and at least 6 other of the highest volume stars regs you could name doing the same (or heavily considering it/testing the waters), i expect the trend to continue increasing post WSOP unless Stars is ready to bring us back with some changes, which I expect they will eventually as the industry leader in a competitive business. again it isnt over the tlb thing, just representative of competitors products getting better and better while #1 is seemingly asleep at the wheel. 3 months ago stars comprised about 95%+ of my volume, nowadays its around 50%.

in my opinion, stars is a good company and this late in the year id expect them to just honor last years system, and hopefully come up with an agreeable alternative for next year. keeping a good working relationship with players is important to stars, they view us as partners. TLB isnt a great promotion and they need ideas, but better promotions are going to take away from regs and give to fish, so the guys up top might get a little mad. thats why i think it's important to establish before next year, what next years system will be with advanced notice.

Re: PS 2012 TLB ?? Bryan_PS, one time?

pretty much what marty said, the fact that people are playing less isnt the problem, just showing ps in what way is it affecting them

the problem is having a promotion/competition that has an implied prizepool of 200k usd and not having it specified 7 months into it, thats just bad bussiness and theyre setting themselves up for a PR disaster if the prizes are in anyway worse than last year

Re: PS 2012 TLB ?? Bryan_PS, one time?

One of the reasons i didn't go for yearly is that there were no prizes set up. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. Even if most people give up at some point of the year it's costing PS money, dunno why we even have to discuss that.

I obv agree with marty and marek.

Whether or not there are "more important" issues stars can deal with, it is terrible business practice to deliver on promotional details 5months+ late especially with 200k + on the line.

I used to believe that stars was a well ran company. That is clearly not the case anymore.
