Agree with Goggles. There's only so much money in the tournament poker economy. A ton more turbos would necessarily mean fewer/smaller real tournaments.

no it wouldnt, turbo doesnt magically make it different than every other tournament series which boosts traffic to all regular tournaments. You really think one more tournament series is going to be the breaking point where people stop adding money into their schedules? More realistically a TCOOP can only help a tournament regular if history has shown anything but you'd rather the schedule be tailored only to your preference, seems outstandingly egocentric to me.

Of course I'm in. Just copy the SCOOP schedule and make everything turbo, and make hyper-turbo what's turbo (reduce rake in those).

Yes I do think it would hurt the rest of the tournament schedule a little bit, maybe not during the series but before/after. If Stars could run a 4M Sunday Million every week then they would. As for the bolded, I disagree with your premise that TCOOP would help a tournament regular, and that makes me egocentric? Are you leveling?

I'd also love a hyper-turbo or 3x-turbo rebuy (like the live events satellites), with $1, $11 and $109 buyins. I'd do that replacing any freezeout, the number 21 I think.

+1 for the 3x-turbo.... I love that structure, just wish the events weren't must play.

I'm always tempted to play them, but I forget about it when I think about having to spend a lot of money to go to play a big buyin donkament with so much variance for me.

Yea I don't necessarily care about playing the live tourney.. I just really like the 3x-turbo structure. Although did ship a LAPT $11 3x turbo which because of some dire circumstances I was not able to attend, but got transferred to NAPT... so PCA next Jan.. whoop.. Im pumped about that one.

A weekly tournament and a tournament series are not the same at all. The gains during the series's in the non series tournaments exceeds any losses they suffer around the date by a significant margin. Even so, you're still saying "theres only so much tournament money and it should go to the games i prefer" History doesnt really support the position that tcoop would do anything but add money in to tournament poker, I mean if you're right FTOPS has to be a cancer on the poker world bc it happens all the time.

Idk, I think the reason why a lot of recreational players play big series is because they have great structures and they are guaranteed to play for a while. I'm not completely opposed, but would rather have it in the form of 2nd chances for SCOOP
