That is exactly what they want..... less regs cause the $output was bigger than $input

Im wondering who takes more cash out of the system tho. all regs together or stars itself by rake

There are 215r *PT sats deployed in the lobby that show rake is 202+13 for the entry and the rebuy. So I guess we'll see what that translates to for tournaments like the Sunday Rebuy.

i disagree, we provide huge liquidity to the games, without us all weekdays would be a shriveled list of bowls.

they need u way more than they don't need us.

Pretty clever to blow up the servers to distract from Baazov's charges

the whole technical issue was probably them transferring player funds somewhere unkonwn to the investigators of the case on bassfoof, or some of the player funds maybe enough for him to pay his court fees. i think this whole tchnical issue needs an explanation, besides it was part of the server restart.

3x-Sats:
Assuption: 8BI taken and good ROI:30%=2,4BI Rake so far:0,1BI
New: 8BI taken and Roi drops down from 1,7BI Rake now: 0,8BI
Paycut=~29%

2x Sats:
Assumption 5BI taken and good ROI:20% =1BI Rake so far:0,1BB
New: Roi drops from 1BI to 0,6BI as the rake increases to:0,5BI
Paycut:40%

1x Sats:
Assuption 3,5BI taken and good ROI:15%=0,525BI Rake so far 0,1BB
New:Roi drops from 0,525BI to 0,275 Rake ->0,35BI
Paycut:~52%

For the best Sat-Players this will be a massive Paycut and they should play other Games where the hourly is better, weaker regs will become loosing players. Rec-player will be loosing way faster.
=> All sats will be destroyed!

Hyper Cube Sats:
Rake was 2% for Initial BI, now rake increases to 5%, while RB and AO will be raked.
So rake will got up 2%->15% for the initial BI.
Worthless to say Paycut will be huuuuuuge as they are hypers.

5q, 8c, 10c, 20c, reg Games:
Example 20c: Initial Rebuys will go down as they raked now.
incentive to take AO will be going down as the AO give you no more chips then Initial BI, most regs will play it single bullet and rb if bustoooo. Rake increase in those Games are limited, so its not a big deal. BUT: Structures have to be adjusted, more chips for AO that players have an incentive to take it, otherwise Grt will go down!

8r 10r .
Rake increase like 4-5 times, as the fields are soft its not a big deal.

50r+:
Most weaker regs should stop playing them-> so they will vanish as they already have big troubles.
Suggestion: Replace all 50+ Games and all 30+ turbo Games.
100r->B215
30c turbo->whatever turbo proko 6m
50r Bigantes->whatever turbo proko

No idead about hypers but would assume nobody should play them, as the variance is insane and possible ROI was anyway pretty low, now most regs are loosing in those Games.
->Replace Highbuyin Hypers with some decent Proko-turbo-games, maybe your new structure will cushion the rake-increse but i really doubt it.

If you want any reg still play any of those Games you need to replace them or adjust structures or adjust rake taken on rb ao to a lower amount.
it only makes sense to take rake on RB+AO on lowbuyin non turbo Games, if you take it on Highbuyin and or turbo rebuy games you destroy them completly.

I get that the MTT-Schedule team has barely something to say in those rake-increases, at least adjust your schedule that more other games are still playable.

If you guys actually want to figure out how your rebuy results will change I made a spreadsheet to do the math.

file>make a copy and mess around.

Luke, could you please acknowledge people's feelings towards the recent pay out changes and offer an explanation as to why these changes happened. The whole point of this thread I thought was to take on positive and negative feedback from players. You can't just comment on the positive stuff and ignore the negatives posted.

I apologize for a (possibly) stupid question, what is so wrong about new payouts?

Been mentioned before but please start deadline sats earlier, like 1 hour before target tournament starts. It sucks to make it through with only 20 bigs as a rec and it would be easy to ensure players still qualify after the event has begun.

it's not. recreational players lose slightly slowly, they can actually justify that change alone. but it decreases edge of regs and combined with everything else it's extremely obvious it's just yet another "cleverly" thought out way to make winners win less. if they hadn't increased rake again, mislead and deceived about everything then ppl might give them the benefit of the doubt. but that's not the case. also pretty clear no one asked for this change not even rec players want less min cash/less up top.

malefactor - I want slightly better structure but 1h is too much, that defeats the "deadline" idea. it's like a last chance thing/11th hour thing

Thank you for the answer. So does it mean that the highest ROIs would be achieved in WTA tournaments?

Yes. No one is advocating for that as players realize we need a balance. The motives for flatter payouts are just as ClayDol said. The end result will be more recycled rake.

kind of doubt that WTA would allow for the highest ROIs possible since it takes away any ICM/risk aversion pressure (and therefore lots of possible mistakes villains could make allowing the best players to creat edges), but I guess its save to say that lion share first prices allow for higher possible ROIs than very flat payout structures. Take the other extreme, satelites. those have the flattest payout structure possible, and possible ROIs are pretty low.

Which payout sturctue allows for the highes ROIs exactly is a nontrivial question and depands on a lot of factors, including how poorly the playerbase adapts to the given payout structure. At least if I don't have a major twist in my thoughts

Also flatting payout structures just makes poker tournaments less enjoyable and boaring. It magnifies bubble factors towards the end of a tournament as laddering becomes more important than fighting for the win relativ to steeper payout structurs, making folding in a lot of spots a way more attractive option. Not as extrem as in sattys, but def. more than it used to be.

It's sad and in my eyes plain stupid to make your product, which has to be an exciting one to have the right to exist more boaring. Nobody would ever watch a sattelite on TV, it is just boaring. Watch out where you are hadding to...

also killing a lot of sattelites (by raking rebuys/addons in those hyperish structured turbo sattys) in the current market environment is just beyond in my eyes, you should rather massivly push those and make it "first ticket for target has to be played" which has hardly any pitfalls but a lot of quite obvious advanages... Never understood that tbh...

and yes, I assume the same reason behind these changes as most seemingly reflective and intelligent posters itt do
