Just want y'all to know, that I, a "casual" MTT player (for whom the changes are supposed to 'benefit'), officially quit Stars. I'm going to make a change the only way I know how - with my wallet.

I was going to play ~$2K worth of buyins this SCOOP and let PS rake my butthole for $200, but now you can suck it.

Actually, there's one thing you'd do.

Take all the new rake from the hypers and deploy multiple daily hyper freerolls with the exact money value you take out.

Take all new rake from rebuys and gdt more satellite seats and implement rebuy freerolls w added gtd where rebuys are 10cent and addons are free

lower rake in all big/hots so that eventhough the 1st price is smaller now, the pool will be bigger for the same buy-in.

It is obviously a joke about canaries being used in mines and not in any way racist, don't get distracted and make things personal, focus on the issue of the rake

From Wikipedia:

Canaries were once regularly used in coal mining as an early warning system. Toxic gases such as carbon monoxide, methane[citation needed] or carbon dioxide in the mine would kill the bird before affecting the miners. Signs of distress from the bird indicated to the miners that conditions were unsafe. The use of miners' canaries in British mines was phased out in 1987.

I knew that stars would do this; i think i may have posted it. That they would revert all the changes that they planned but then slowly and surly bring them in again to **** the players over; not all in one go where we would notice but over time so that the incremental changes keeps us from simply not rebelling and/or moving sites. So we have two choices; either continue to **** us or do something about it and arrange MASS sit outs etc, or if Regs don't want to risk this then what about withdrawing a percent of your roll; if we ALL did this on the exact same day then Stars may get the point

16:00 CET - I late reg 2 MTTs just to find out that due to technical problems no other tourmaments or SnG start any time soon.... I would laugh at your incompetence if it didnt affect me that badly cuz now I have to 2-table a random deep rebuy. On top of killing 2 widely spread MTT formats by making them unbeatable now you are wasting my time by being unable to provide the service for which you are charging me. Kinda feels sad to be an online grinder these day...

Yeah ever since the maintenance this morning theyve been having problems with tournies abruptly closing etc so they are canceling all the tournies until they figured it out.
