Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

Now I just hope there will be ****loads of satellites to the bigger buy-in events and this will be perfect for my first WCOOP.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

Schedule seems decent.

Just need ok GTDs and good structures and rake.

That the above are legitimate concerns is amusing.

WCOOP schedule looking good yeah!

But.. I fear winter (aka rake increase) is coming. That would be sad because it would - in the end - hurt Amaya more than anyone else.

Midstakes Series looks nice

But I seriously can't imagine any other reason to publish a .pdf of the series with gtds left out, than that those have been butchered big time.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

Hey all,

Just a couple more WCOOP notes while I'm going through the schedule:
  • The satellite offering from Monday will be sparse. We want as many players as possible to be aware of the $55 daily satellite with $5,200 added before we start adding satellites to other Events. There will be a $5.50 On-Demand sat to the daily $55 from launch.
  • I wrote in the blog that structures have been rewritten for the series. I urge you all to take a look and provide feedback! They have been designed to provide the same experience as SCOOP, albeit with different blind structures and level times.
  • We continue to expand the usage of dynamic level times. Please check "Level Time Info" in the Structure tab to see when level times change!
  • Total buy-ins for the Series are nearly identical to last year's Series when you discount the difference between the $102,000 Super High Roller last year and the $25,000 High Roller this year. Also, Progressive KO and Re-Entry are on par with last year's Series in terms of volume.

What do you want to see? Did you play SCOOP satellites? There wasn't a lot of feedback here about SCOOP satellites (typically a good sign) and performance year-on-year was strong, but if you have satellite suggestions, now is the time!

For as long as I can remember, guarantees have never appeared on early versions of *COOP schedules. They are usually revealed when the tournaments hit the lobby.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

What about some nice regular speed STT satelites? Forget about the 10 years old structure that looks like 1500 starting stacks, huge blind jumps and antes starting at 50/100 or whatever. No one likes those.
Give us something like this: 3k starting stacks, 10-12 minute levels with small jumps, antes from start, 2-3 places paid. I bet, these would be quite popular, but even if not, what can you lose? You could also run these in a step-style for the higher buyins.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

SCOOP was absolutely fantastic for satellites. Binked a $215 scoop sunday milly ticket for $2.20, 3-4 $27 tickets, 2-3 $11 tickets and almost binked a $1050 ticket. Satellites are great for upcoming players who aren't rolled for the bigger events, would be great to see similar opportunities again.

SCOOP satellites were already available weeks prior to the event so it can't be matched this time but may be something to note for the future.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

scoop 2017 satellite offering was the best for any series I can remember (which should be a decent amount of years).
So keep offering the pink mega sats with the one change that I'd love to see them in two different buy ins.
For a 215$ Wcoop Event this could be a 5$ MEGA sat and a 22$ one

Don't understand why there's no 10k HR NLH. Always gets huge turnout. The demand for a 10k HR and 25k SHR (clearly the right price point for a SHR) is definitely there. Party is having a 10k and 25k and will have great turnouts. Just don't get why it got scrapped.

Regarding satelittes for Main Event, 55 109 215 reentry should be fine

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

Why do you guys like these phase tournaments during series so much when every single reg makes it to day 2, which makes them run out much tougher than your average event?

+1 to the phases

in my experiences the phase1 are usually super soft with players playing super loose, so its a soft tourney with a huge prize thats why most players like i think

Sure all the regs make it to day 2. But so do thousands of bad players
