6 (7?) weeks left until WCOOP, time's getting short to show a draft, discuss, and actually start sattelites. I really hope you're not waiting until after Barcelona for this.

Probably because you dont want to **** up your sleeping schedule if the payouts at the top aren't nice. I cant play much during week. Often your are not home before 4pm, then you have to do other reallife stuff so maybe I could start at 6pm but I cant reg longer than 8 unless I dont mind being a zombie next day. And I would make that sacrifice only if the mtt has a super ft payout which is seldom because the amount of PKO's which just redistribute too much money before the final table and a generally very flat structure. Also there are too many (gimmick) mtts which compete for the same player pool since recs only want to spend a certain amount of money during a period of time(day/month).

I think they are focusing micro millions right now, so we have to wait until July 31st at best.

Would you like to see more non-KO hypers on the daily schedule?

No why would I? So that I could play more during week? I rather dont play than filling the evening with turbos and hypers.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

How about more Bubble Rushes then?

It looks to me as though you wish the impossible on weekdays:

1. To have big final table payouts.
2. To have slow blind growth.
3. To be able to finish the tourney before the morning.

You can have 2 of these 3 but not all the 3 at the same time except if you're OK with a very top-heavy payout structure (paying <12% of the field).

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

Thats why I dont ask for anything. Either its offered by a site or its not. And there are probably others who have other preferences and decide to play or not to play at certain days.

If 1 and 2 are fulfilled I would have no problem to play and go to work. For example I won my first table in the 5$ shootout(event 11) but I punted the 2nd because I realized it will run until the morning or even longer. Not to mention if I won my table early I would probaby fall asleep when I have to wait for the next level to start. But event 20 for example had 9k for first and finished at 5am. I would do that occasionally.
Really loved the good old FTP days with the 26$ mtts between 3pm and 9pm CET but they wont come back. Over the years I saw so many people calling for more and more turbos so thats where we are with a guy in charge of mtts who thinks people should be in the money quicker, it shouldnt last too long and a worse payout structure.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

Are the following daily MTTs not enough for you?

16:00 CET - Big $44, $20K Gtd
16:25 CET - $27 Deep Stacks, $8K Gtd
17:10 CET - $33, $4K Gtd

Stars is a much bigger site than FTP was in 2012-2016, so indeed, don't expect small field size tourneys without 'gimmicks' at Stars - such tourneys aren't marketable enough to recreationals, which means that your bankroll would be eaten alive by regs if you were playing such tourneys exclusively. It's not 2015 anymore, the average MTT player has got much stronger.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

I am not playing these stakes anymore. My first reply was about the number of entrants of the MM events and why these players dont fill the other mtts. So my point is about this buyin range. So at these limits its even harder to create prize pools that excite people. I dont want to deposit money but so I either grow the bankroll I have or I go broke and leave the game for good. I could shot higher mtts for sure but if I play I rather fill the monitor than onetable if I decide to play.

The main question was how you get the numbers you see during these events to play during an average day. I think you need solid flagship mtts with good guarantees. Right now guarantees go down. And if they are too low you will just lose the interest or people living in the rich countries with solid jobs. Most recs dream of the one big score. But if payouts dont offer that they will lose interest. Recs dont care about longrun and samplesize. Every mtt they registered should offer a win that matters. That could be a life changing score or an amount of money thats higher than your monthly wage. But thats my opinion.

I agree with this, but this is not a reason to make blinds grow slowly in flagship MTTs.

I also agree that PKOs don't work well as scheduled MTTs because it's barely possible to make a tourney with both significant KO amounts and large FT payouts. If a tourney is KO, it's low-variance. If it has to have high-variance, it has to be non-KO.

I'd prefer the following lineup of flagship tourney offerings where different tourney categories would cater to different audiences instead of trying to lump KO lovers and variance lovers together:

1. Non-KO Bubble Rushes - for those who like to win big without falling asleep.

2. Spin & Gos - for those who like to win big but don't have more than 10 spare minutes and are OK with letting their fate be largely determined by a slot.

3. Total KO MTSNGs - for those who like to grab everyone by the bounty.

4. Super-KO STTs - for those who like it simple and are too confused by total KOs.

5. Power Up - for those who're into high-tech fantasy.

No 50% PKOs, no half-measures.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

Opening chests all day just to receive peanuts is irritating and makes me feel like a 16y old that still gets kinder suprises when visiting my grandma.

Would be cool if there's a on/off animation switch for the chests and that I can just receive my few coins/T$ into my account without me having to open a freakin' treasure chest like a 10y old goonie.

P.S.: stopped suggesting changes/additions for the mtt schedule a while back cuz it's a waste of time.

Huge +1. These chests are infuriating.

They say if you earn 4 in 1 day you get a big special chest... the big chests reward about 100 more points than the others and I guess 1 in 100000 players get a big cash reward. Absolute joke.
