Sure back in the day when re daily 3r used to get 8k ftw.

Now regardless of what they do there s zero chance of any 3r getting more than 2k up top on a Sunday so what's the point

I know you're probably trolling, but just in case you aren't: any potential refund when something goes wrong is a lot higher in a 200$, so we deal in percentages, not flat amounts. Because the server space required is the same the percentage should be lower at higher stakes, though.

I don't really see a big difference between re-entry and rebuy to be honest, with re-entry you get a different seat but that's about it, you still pay a certain price for more chips.

You don`t see any difference? How about that in re-entry you recieve same stack and you can`t double reenter but in rebuys most of us double-rebuy so double rake?
Also if you don`t double-rebuy you play a shallower stack than in reentry.

Sigh. First off, almost nobody double rebuys anymore, second off, whether you buy 5k chips for 20+2 and re-enter later for 20+2 or 2*5k chips for 40+4 is the same thing. It's not double rake, it's 10% in both cases, you pay the exact same $ and fee for the chips you're getting. If rebuys aren't raked you're paying 1-4% in most cases, which is just not a smart decision for a website to be running when they can run a freezeout at 10%. No matter how many times you rebuy or re-enter, it's always 10%. 10% is fine/fair for a slow, deep-stacked tournament which a rebuy usually is, target your complaints at 10% turbos and 5% hypers.

re-entry is essentially the predecessor of raked rebuys , same goes for multi-entries back in the day on ftp .

in rebuy tourneys you have a sunk cost of already having bought in + sticking around for the add-on is usually worth it , in re-entry tourneys it blows my mind people still buy back in for 6-8bb @ 10% rake .

Why do all of the "regular" speed tournaments during the early to mid afternoon (ET) have 7 minute levels, while everything in the evening is 10 minute levels? And why are they both labelled as "regular" speed? All of the fast ones tend to play more like turbos, but aren't labelled as such. Regardless of the labeling (or mislabeling), there need to be more proper regular speed tournaments during the afternoon with 10 minute levels (that doesn't mean give them a bastardized blind structure to artificially speed them up).

What happened to the structure of the deep stack tournaments? I agree that the old 30-minute levels were too long. The structures were changed to 15 minute levels starting at 25/50, which were really good. Now the structures have 10 minute levels starting at 30/60, and after barely more than an hour are down to 30bb starting stacks. They are no longer "deep" stack tournaments. If players don't want to play a longer tournament, they can skip these. No need to ruin them because they aren't fast enough for other players.

^ They provide a ton of play later on. They also switch to 12 min blinds at T1200 or so I think. I agree they could do with an extra level or two early but the late stage is fine.

Given the decline in pokerstars, I am interested in any other reputable sites anyone can recommend?

Due to a very poor customer experience with Stars, I have recently withdrawn all of my funds with no intent to to make future deposits or give them any more of my business.

I would be interested in what people on this forum consider is the best site in the market today?

888 and party are the closest but their software is sh*t. I think party are getting new software soon so that might be your best option.

Changes in Progressive KOs

"We're in the process of making changes to the display of Progressive Knockout tournaments. These changes will be gradually rolled out over the month of May as the latest software is released. The point of the changes is to make it clearer how much stands to be won, and how much has already been won."

Btw, talking about the knockout tourneys, Luke don't you think mentioning the avg 1st prize anywhere in the tourney lobby or mentioning it along with the gtd would be an useful info? Honestly I think this info would be very useful and may have a positive affect (more in a lesser field tourney/non special tourney) as the tourney payouts in the lobby don't truly reflect the correct winnings as you win a lot more because of the bounties obv especially when you finish 1st and the difference between what you actually win and what is shown in the lobby is HUGE (sometimes 2x, 2.5x more). Afterall first prize is what makes tourneys attractive.

Also, I feel that there should be a tournament summary tab for every special/major tourneys where you could mention all the useful info like how much time taken to enter itm, how long the final table ran for, what % of the payouts was distributed in the ft, avg cash/roi etc etc just like how pokerprolabs and pocketfives provides a summary for every tourney that took place. Maybe this summary could be shown for tourney which has yet to start. For example Sunday Million which is yet to start has this tab on its lobby which shows all this info under "Last Week Stats/Summary"
