There was a similar situation to this a few years back where the guy was backed and have a clear plan down to %'s of every time he profited to pay people back.

A brief update on the situation:

Paul admitted that he stole money from me and lend money from others he couldnt pay back over the course of the last 12 months.

About 30k$ from me and 55k$ from others and it seems like he plans on paying it back.

It seems like a friend of him or his brother helped him setting up a plan to grind it back.

He is currently playing mid/low-stakes and I received a payment of about 3k$.

The only thing that is steadily annoying me is his lack of communication - reading messages and not responding or promising to get back "tomorrow" and I have to write him 3 days later again.

That's at least a solid start. Hope he keeps it up
05-19-2015 , 06:03 PM
Pretty solid if he does not answer messages

padjes has made the Final Table of the Sunday Warm Up with 73k on top.
GL Fedor :P

I offer 1:1 odds, for a 20$ bet, that he pays fedor at least 25% of his score, or all of the debts, within the next 7 days.
I say he'll pay, and if you bet he won't, we got a bet.

I have a good feeling about this. His run here, as well as his payments there

He is probably staked for this tourney. So he can't pay all winnings back to Fedor.

Who would stake him, while he has this debt open?
Mad world I'm playing in...

What padjes does with his part of the profit cut of this staking (pay his debt pack to Fedor) isn't any of the stakers business of course. As long as padjes pays the stakers part of the profit cut I don't see why you won't stake him. Him making a very big mistake in the past doesn't suddenly make him a bad poker player.

He's chopping it HU with a fellow dutch atm, looks like 57k, I have no clue what they are dutching about, though. Something bout 200$, if i aint mistaken

I have trust in people, he will pay, I'm sure

Lol yup, didnt wanna give the 200 the other guy was asking for
06-14-2015 , 09:23 PM
Yeah, argument was that the other guy wanted to have a net profit of 62k. Also he argued that because he busted all the players he was entitled to 200 more. Before this he asked padjes if he's ever played before.

Seems like an awful deal. If he gets into the right gear he should have won this HU atleast 50% of the time.

Saintreine: You play more often right?
padjes: first time
Saintreine hahaha, hence that red 1 behind your nickname
padjes: idd
padjes: I think we have to play for 8k, regardless the deal
MOD: Hey guys, How would you like to split the prize pool?
Saintreine: oh ok
padjes: lets see the numbers
MOD: The numbers are as follows
MOD: Saintreine 62.005,05, padjes 57.672,85, left to play for 8k
padjes: I agree
Saintreine: If I get 62.215 I'm fine with the deal
padjes: lol dude
Saintreine: I'll have 62+ exactly then
padjes: I just want this numbers
Saintreine: I've busted everyone for you
padjes: That was pleasant iddd, but pls don't act so difficult for 200 dollar
Saintreine: It's a lot for me
padjes: haha yeah, but why should you get it extra
Saintreine: We could just play further, I feel lucky
padjes: ok, let's just play then
padjes: It's only 3k more than the original payouts for me anyway
padjes: I'm not giving any EV up
padjes: We can look for a deal again when stacks are back to even if you want
Saintreine: ok, let's just deal
Saintreine: I agree
padjes: I agree

He was not staked for this tourney, so he can pay back a good chunk of his debts
06-14-2015 , 09:50 PM
Yeah, in the chat after the tourney ended padjes confirmed, after being asked about it, this tourney wasn't part of a staking and it was all for his own (read Fedor's) roll
