They really don't have live satellites to the 5k? 200 is a terrible buyin level, maybe do one 200 one just so theres the chance that someone got in cheap but I say run 500s every day and maybe 3 1ks and 5 500s the 2 days before the event or something.

In the past, the Venetian tournament crew has been slow to respond to player requests, but they DO respond. The 2009 summer Deepstacks were significantly improved over 2008, with vastly improved structures. The late 2009 Deepstacks saw improved, flatter payouts after pretty much every summer tournament got chopped several ways.

Point being, while it's probably too late in the game to change the schedule for this 5K event, be sure to post your suggestions here and TELL THE STAFF when you arrive. When enough people voice the same opinion, they will change it for next time.

At the moment Stars' client shows 242 sat qualifiers and 11 direct buy-ins. This event is going to have a good crowd, but I'm sure it won't be so big that the Venetian can't deal with it. No way it gets over 1000.

Fatal/Kev - post #205/220 - The (ALL) NAPT Main Events will be played out exactly like the PCA Main Event was. Starting 9/10 handed as necessary but playing 8 handed from Day 3 forward or two tables from the money (in case we hit the money on Day 2). Because of the field size this event is going to generate I can't imagine it not being 10 handed on Day 1, but hopefully we can go 9 on Day 2 and then we WILL go 8 from Day 3 forward. I am in communication with Venetian to have their Main Event Structure Sheet adjusted.

Doublejoker - post #287 - At this late date, adding a second starting date is not feasible for the D.S.E. Schedule. Also, logo policy is always to remain in compliance with local government regulations and our broadcast partners.

In addition to the three Super Satellites running at the Venetian on Friday the 19th, there are LIVE Satellites running at the Mohegan Sun, so if any of you are near them, stop by and try and win yourselves a seat to both NAPT Venetian and NAPT Mohegan Sun

NAPT ADDS $25,000 BOUNTY SHOOTOUT (Invitational)

"The NAPT has just announced a new event for the Venetian stop. The Invitational $25,000 High Roller Bounty Shootout is unlike almost any tournament you've ever seen. It's a standard no-limit Texas Hold'em game, but with a couple of twists. First, it's a shootout event. That is, players have to win the equivalent of a $25,000 sit and go to even make it into the money. Not only that, but every player will have a $5,000 bounty on his head. Whoever knocks the player out gets the extra cash.

Oh, and just to make things a little more interesting...PokerStars is adding $100,000 to pay off whoever scores the most bounties........"


Pokerstars is really getting behind the NAPT. Wonder how many entrants they're expecting to invite? I can think of about 10 people offhand I'd like to see enter this.
