Haas said today that PokerStars has already signed up top television production company 441 (the same group that produces ESPN's coverage of the WSOP) to produce a brand new NAPT series. What's more, a television deal is in the works.
Sunset and Vine has been doing the EPT for years. Maybe they're collaborating to create a version for Europe and one for the North American market.
i am going to play a bunch of sats for this. i think it's great that this tour is starting. any idea what kind of turnout is to be expected? i've never even played a tourney at Venetian so have no clue (not to mention one endorsed by PokerStars).
the same crew who films for ESPN for the WSOP was definitely filming in the bahamas but yeah, i haven't heard anything official yet.
In the Cardplayer interview video with Slash he mentions that this is his first major tournament w/ ESPN filming.
I don't know if that was a legitimate slip up or if Slash was just misinformed, but I doubt a celebrity would be mislead with something like that.
