Man you should see how he is running though. He's not doing anything special. Calling OOP w/ gutshot on turn and hitting it, etc.

Opening 8x preflop fish flats half his stack and folds to min cbet on flop (lol.) just a few that I remember right now.

I mean he's not terrible terrible, but he's got an insane amount of run good (from what I have seen so far.) Makes ridiculous -EV plays (which if you run an intense metagame might end up being +EV in the future -- maybe.)

I would say he's about 25% to be a poker genious and 75% to be at the high end of the gauss curve of variance (as in there's always going to be people that simply run way to good for us to realize that they're bad just by looking at their end-results over a small sample.)

he is a big winner over a large sample on ftp/stars

anything he does that is -ev from a math perspective is negated by the fact that everyone, regs and fish alike, play poorly against him because he does things that are very unorthodox.

And I'm out. He wakes up with back to back pocket pairs. Can't beat the massive run good that guy has + my own ridiculous run bad that I've been having for 11 days now. Lost more AA's preflop in 24 hours than I lost on Pokerstars my whole life.

thebattler33 on ftp, babyshark33 on stars. over a million profit over a 20k+ sample, abi ~$100 and his largest score is ~$31k. it's not variance, he's good.

His stats look very good. And you're probably right, most players play poorly against him to begin with.

He's making some fundamental mistakes though.

You're never going to convince me to set mine OOP w/ 20 bbs effective stacks against a 3x open.

Just at the final table now, guy with 20 bbs opens in MP for 3x. He flats from the BB w/ 77. That's just bad, regardless who you are. OFC he does hit a set and stacks the guy because that's just how he runs, but what's going to happen the other 88% of times? I don't see how this can be profitable ever.
