The way i see it is that Party took a money grab shot at zero risk: getting the points from all players who didnt know or forget about converting them.

And that is, i am sure, quite a lot of money that should be in players account, not in hands of the company.

The cost for party of converting the old points into tickets or new points was zero.

I changed my points but didn't get any communication from party so I'm not sure that list of actions taken is entirely accurate fwiw. The only email they sent me any time recently was advertising a live tourney in Germany and I only knew to convert points from seeing it on (unofficial) twitter.

Hi all

Following on from our recent announcement regarding our Sit & Go (SNG) formats we are pleased to confirm some further changes to our current offering

Fees have been reduced by up to 70% offering great value

We done some housekeeping reducing the amount of variants we had on offer to create a clean and slick lobby which allows easy navigation to find the game you want while also helping to reduce waiting times - getting the games started much quicker
Our current variants on offer are - HU hyper turbos, HU turbos, DON, 6-max hyper turbo and 6 & 9 max Turbos

As per player feedback last week – we reinstated 6-Max DONs, 6-Max Hypers and 9-Max Turbos *

We hope you like the improvements and as always your feedback is appreciated

Thanks

Colette

Need something lower than a $5.50 6/9max imo so that people can start from the bottom. A $2.20 seems a good start.

That would be true if it wasn't the initial email giving 60 days notice, countless campaigns on social media, lobby banners etc.

You had plenty of time to sort it out like everyone else had. It coincided with the biggest tournament series to be held at their site.

If you forget something it's on you.

Yeah, I agree with UPAY here. I complained loudly about Party's last two landgrabs, when points lost huge chunks of their value overnight and with no notice at all. At a guess this would have been, what, 2007 and 2010 or so? My posts are probably still here somewhere in one of the Party threads.

But this time they did things better. Granted, I wouldn't have had any idea about the changes if I wasn't reading this thread, as for some reason Party have been unable to email me anything other than cashier emails for about 5 years (to several addresses) and I have no interest in following Party on social media. But it does seem that they gave reasonable notice and tried to capture as many channels (and thus players) as possible. Short of phoning you at home to tell you I'm not sure what more could have been done.

It's a step in the right direction. If only the god-awful CS teams (who offer a level of "service" far removed from Colette's laudable efforts) could be improved to the point that they can give (a) sane answers to simple questions; and (b) any answers at all; then we'd be getting somewhere.

^ Party also can't email me anything but cashier stuff for some reason. I asked them to add me to the list (I like to be kept in the know, and they used to send me stuff)! They say they email me all the time to the email address from which I sent my request. Nothing in inbox or junk though.

Can I PM you my username Collette for you to sort this out pretty please? As said hit a brick wall with CS.

Thankfully I follow this thread and was able to use my points

None of this is true unfortunatly and now i am left with 220$ worth of tickets that will expire on May31. (The expiry date wasn't displayed either when i bought the tickets.)

Is there anything, you could do about this?
Thanks
Dear Colette,

In your answer you quoted my post and treated it like i am one of the players who forgot to convert their points, which is not the case, so please read it again.

I bought 220$ worth of Powerfest tickets from the store AFTER this powerfest has ended. When I bought them, there was no warning of the expiry date, which is May 31. If these tickets are not useable at least for the next powerfest, it means that you offered something in your store for 220$, which had a value of 0$. This sounds like a scam to me.

If you put an expiry date on those tickets, they should have been removed from the points store after there were no events to use them for (=they lost their entire value).

I don't even ask for converting them into T$s. All I ask is, remove the expiry date from my tickets, so I can use them during next powerfest.

can you guys fix the timebanks in 6 max turbos ? The 6 max turbos during powerfest were great and didn't feel rushed at all , it's impossible to stack tables and add 6 max turbos into the mix outside of series though .

I just want to warn people who are not familiar with Party prehistoric software to avoid clicking anywhere in the SNG section as I have recently did.

So I was looking for some sit'n'goes, wanted to see which stakes are running etc. I saw pretty high stakes HU sngs, doubleclicked one of them just to see the lobby for some additional informations as I didn't even know what starting stacks are.

Long story short few seconds later I was playing 530$ hyper, because the software automatically register you after doubleclicking ANYWHERE in the Sit headline... Not like there is a giant "REGISTER" button on the right side...

Super misleading as always, thanks PartyPoker.

I haven't played on Party for ~10 years now, but am currently updating software and will very likely move significant action over to you. Great changes, **** Stars' **** up!

There is so much wrong with this kind of thinking...

First off, what if I was on vacation or taking a hiatus from poker for whatever reason and had a bunch of points stored up? If there's some cash lying around your house and I tell you to put it in the bank by next week or I'm taking it, is it ok for me to do so? I've definitely gone through stretches of not logging in to party for several months and having 5k+ points. Second off, I often use a different email address for poker accounts and don't follow poker on social media, because frankly, I really don't want to. I, and I'm sure many others, are desensitized to poker ads/banners. You just tune them out after a while and disable them whenever you can. Plus I checked, and I got no email from party regarding this, inbox or spam. The only way I could've reliably gotten this info is if I'm one of the rare few that visits this forum, otherwise it'd have been very confusing (and still is).

Perhaps most importantly, I looked at my balance several times during powerfest but every time decided it was dumb to spend my points. I had something like 3315 points at the end where I could spend 3200 for T200$ or 3333 for T300$. I had one day after powerfest and like I said before, yes, it slipped my mind that one day from the scoop/inferno/powerfest hangover. If the points had been converted or automatically bought the 3200 point bonus I'd have been sad but it would've been my own fault, but having it just be completely gone with no compensation whatsoever is ridiculous. The 60 day notice is basically useless if you still keep earning points during this period. The only way that would've been useful is if the exchange was a flat %, not this super topheavy if you exchange more points at the same time you get more value thing.

By the way, unless I missed it, there was nothing stating explicitly what would happen with leftover points. Because everyone has some leftover points and/or had to convert at a ****ty rate for their last points unless you're super lucky and somehow had exactly whatever good rate bonus was costing after powerfest. It was vague and I kind of wasn't paranoid about it because I was starting to get close to the feeling with party that I had with pre-amaya pokerstars.

I've supported party partly because I like their site/goals and want a strong alternative to stars, which meant playing some of the toughest games for their buyins online. I, and I'm sure others who didn't exchange points in time, also helped them recoup many times the value in points left in my account just from straight up reducing overlays. I really do hope this isn't just a big middle finger. Again, just convert everyone's leftover points at 15 or 20% or whatever the lower rate was, that should be plenty of punishment for me or anyone else not exchanging at 35% or whatever. I'm ok with losing a few k's on a sunday, but losing money like this feels super awful.

This is very much a case of "tough titties"

Not the same or even close to being the same thing. It's like comparing apples and oranges.

That's your choice, if you don't want to follow social media, etc. You cannot blame them for that.

As regards to email, I received one when the store sale kicked off.

I also missed out on converting my points but my perception is that I was given ample opportunity to do so, you belive differently. Life goes on. Worst things going on in the world right now.

Hey. Really don't wanna distract you from the back and forth on whether Party are asses or not, but no one answered me in internet poker:

How long do cashouts usually take to NETeller?

Info should be on their website/client or ask live support. Would imagine 2-3 days tops in any case.

I want to put in volume on party but you are making it so hard to enjoy. 8 out of the 10 >$109 MTTs during friday peaktime are in a PKO format...

Caribbean Leaderboards

Yesterday these have reverted to the format that all tournaments entered now earn points, rather than ITM finishes only.

Is this change on purpose or accidental?

I mean at the client the promo pages still show that you have to "finish in the money of any powerfest tournament" to get points"..
However at the browser promo page it says "play any powerseries tournament to earn points" which seems to be correct since thursday.. Will it stay like this for the rest of the promotion?

"CPP Leaderboard runs DAILY from (04:00 EST/ 10.00CET) and ends on the following day (03:59 EST / 09.59CET)"

I guess CET = CEST like we have and is used at the client, right?

Which time is relevant to get points inside that timeframe? The time the tournament starts or the time when you finish?
Should be for all tournaments starting inside the timeframe from 10am to 9.59am the next day, right?

Thanks in advance Colette!
