If you had a good month, and the percentage of winnings you agreed upon beforehand added up to 3K dollars that month, then yeah, that's what he would get. Can you explain how this is a negative exclusively associated with Nick?
apparently he MAs 2+2 too

Re: Official MI_Turtle Being MI_Turtle Thread

So I was poking around 2+2 and found this thread and thought I would give you all an "insiders" prospective on Mr. Nicholas Rainey and RainmanPoker.

It is true that I resigned from RainmanPoker.net, and I did so for a lot of reasons which I will cover them here.

Quick history, I have known Nick for about a year and a half, starting working as a coach with our students back in November of 2009. I decided to move out to LA in April of this year for 3 months to work on building RainmanPoker with him & Bodeye.

I quickly found out the Nick was two completely different people online vs in person. Online he was a great guy, but as soon as I moved out to LA there were flashes of him just snapping over the littlest things, throwing mice, and just acting like a child at times.

Once we moved out to Vegas it got progressively worse and he proceeded to treat everyone around him very poorly.

I left because of Nick's constant unprofessionalism, lack of respect towards his "business partners", which he really just used us to get what he wanted and then do whatever he could do to push us out of the business and screw us out of tens of thousands.

I will speak for myself, we had made a verbal gentleman's agreement when we started that the original capital invested would be paid back, however Nick has stated none of the money will be paid back as I had resigned. He owes me $12,000 and none of that includes profit from the business, which I have not seen a penny since May 1.

If any of you are subscribers of RainmanPoker, I heard in his last webinar that he called both Bodeye and myself, "useless". I find this funny coming from someone who can't put his shoes on without some help.

Imo RainmanPoker and the staking business would not have been what it was without Bodeye and myself, and now see that it seems to be dwindling.

I did my best to make sure we stayed profitable, however the house in Vegas was eating so much profit that it turned out not to be the best investment and once I mentioned this to him he will say something that has no bearing on the conversation, something along the lines of attacking you personally. He never looks at things constructively and always makes impulse decisions which is never good for business.

So unprofessionalism, no respect for others, essentially stealing and no values or morals and acting like a child if he doesn't get what he wants is the reason I left, as I do not associate myself with people like that and I am very happy with my decision to leave.

I also forgot to mention that he takes great joy in putting people down and trying to make feel bad. This alone just disgusts me, example would be one of Channing's (Nick's girlfriend) friends, calling her "fat and ugly" on her Facebook wall.

Quoting Channing, "None of my friends like Nick and if he keeps acting like he does he will have no friends left".

It says something when your long term girlfriend says something like that.

Also when both of your cars get repoed within the last year goes to show you how well he handles his finances.

I have to say I think he might have a bit of a bipolar disorder as he can go from happy, to throwing a chair across a room in a split second. Now I think it might be because of the amount of Adderall he takes, screwing with the chemicals in his brain, whatever the case, I think it is worth getting checked out.

There is more, but I think you get the idea. This coming from someone who lived with Nick for the last two and a half months.

Cheers,

Johnnyhilldo

The last few months I have been working extremely hard and unfortunately the people I chose to partner with were more of a problem then a help.

lol at Johnnyhilldo. He is 30 lives at home with his parents and his two 20 something brother and sister. Says a lot about the family that all 3 kids have not made it in the real world.

Aaron and Bodeye could not go to the grocery store to pick up milk without screwing up. They caused numerous problems because they could not do anything that required common sense. Chase can vouch that they were useless. I will not mention the fact that they bought a car for $1200 and sold it a day later for $300, oops.

Well, this is all very interesting...

I was a member and complained for weeks about lack of material, so I took off my monthly PayPal payment.

If my reaction is similar to others, then Rainman Poker is almost certainly at an end.

"Ray, you are crushing it and great job" one day usually when payments were due and "Ray, you are a loser who doesn't play enough" the next (even though the minimum number of games went from whatever to 400 to 500 to no minimum again). If you had a real problem with me, you should have not accepted my payments or especially you should not have stated that you were very happy about what I was doing when you were collecting the payments including Bodeye and Aaron. I talked to you many times about my play and volume (including during the WSOP ME) and you were fine with it and a couple of days later there would be a problem.

A duplicitous (ie, bipolar), fearful environment was created for many people not just me and they probably don't want to speak out because they are afraid of you or that you will go after them on Mad Poker (and make up fiction like you did about me) or cut off their funding or housing. I told you that was not the kind of environment that I or others can operate effectively in-a poker concentration camp where people come over and hit you for stuff you were told you could do the day before. Maybe you should think twice before you take thousands in payments and proceed to toss someone out 2200 miles from home (and gave them less than 3 hours to get out) with little concern for their safety or even inquire as to cash on hand to handle it especially when all they did is ask you for a revised staking fee. I believe I said, “[7/13/2010 4:46:23 AM] Ray Baker: No hard feelings on my part but I really want to get some other angles going and pay less in staking fee (in return for coaching students or whatever). I am looking for a quid pro quo deal so it is not like I am demanding I get something from you but that I am getting something and giving something in return to you.” Was there really something wrong with that? I could put up the rest of what I said (if you want) but it pretty much sounds the same.

Several weeks ago, you also told other players that there was no minimum number of games per week anymore (who I will spare dragging into this but I mentioned one to you before). I now understand clearly how you operate. It is different rules for different people depending on your mood. You need to mood-adjust your decisions. You lack clarity much of the time. I understand you were upset about the WSOP ME, Aaron, PokerStars, and FullTilt. I sent my messages days earlier before any of that (7/13 to be exact). Maybe you should have responded to my friendly email the other day and then I would not have felt compelled to air my grievances here. Remember, I am not Bodeye or Aaron that you can physically (or verbally in this case) throw things at and I will sit there quietly. Do you really think everyone is going to keep quiet forever? You might want to treat people better and create a more consistent, positive work environment and people might surprise you and you won’t have to deal with people like me.

When it rains, it pours. I had no idea about Hilldo's post above.
