Seems interesting but who knows about long term bugs/issues.

I'd shy away from it, especially when certain programs access more than 4gb of hard space.

Say your HEM database is > 4gb, then you lose the functionality of the SSD. This is my assumption, but at that price it def doesn't seem worth it.

why do you need it before?

I would order from NCIX.com they always have good deals/night owl specials and other promotions going on. Tigerdirect also has good stuff. NCIX you can pick up at a location or have it shipped.

Also, for canadians, check out pricebat.ca to compare prices on things before you buy. I was looking for a new laptop and thought I found a great deal until I checked pricebat and found it for 15% less elsewhere.

Re: ***Official Laptop/Monitor/Computer/Grinding Equipment Discussion Thread***

Probably gunna x-post this in CTH forum, but Le Gonzo probably gets so many of these stupid questions I'll post it here first. I am looking for a new laptop for poker. This is what I need:

At least 16" screen
Top notch screen resolution (1920x1080?)
Ability to grind 30 tables stacked without lag + run HEM, and maybe Itunes at the same time.
Ability to connect to a 30" monitor if I want.
<$900. I wouldn't mind spending much less if you think my needs can be fulfilled by a cheapo laptop. I wouldn't mind spending the whole 900 either. I just want valueeeee.

Thanks in advance!

wow they must have ran out. Mine is shipping in a week. All the good deals are probably over now, but there's still likely to be something at a good price.

I want to start grinding asap when I get to Canada. I don't own a working laptop right now. I hope this isn't an issue, I assume most laptops can get to me in the next 30 days or so.

These two needs are extremely counter each other. There are very few 1080p laptops that are regularly priced under $1k.

Before Black Friday I couldn't find a single laptop that fulfilled those requirements under $900

That's a shame. I'll think about which is more important.

Edit: Ok I guess I can sacrifice some resolution. I exclusively stack my tables now and don't need 1080p for that, but I used to tile and just wanted 1080 in case I feel like going back to that. this will make my decision easier at least.

Mine isn't shipping till February as well. Question though, my all in one is very gently used and it's a pretty expensive computer ($1050 range).. Is there a place I could sell it? Ebay is obviously what comes to mind first.
