Hi

I am using an acer predator ultra wide screen monitor and i love it. I want an equally high quality second monitor that I will use solely for poker lobbies and maybe pokertracker or something, any recommendations for this please?

3840x2160 will get way more tables on than 2560x1080 at similar sizes or even if the 2560 was alot bigger.

Resolution far more important than screen size.

my 3840x2160 40 inch can tile 24 tables easily but i like having 12 large ones and room for all lobbies which this can easily do. 1 monitor setup far superior to 2 or 3 imo.

Yea Pads, I am a dolt with all this stuff myself and can offer no technical advice, but for example, I have 2 dell 30s, one is 4k res, 1 is 2560. Huge difference

Looking for recommendation for a Tablet/Laptop combo similar to the surface pro 4.

Budget: $800 roughly
Programs:

Same Time:
Ignition/ACR
DriveHUD
Table Tamer Potentially
PT4 potentially

Also, I look to play Dota2 as well.
What type of memory/RAM/SSD requirements do I need to run this effectively

gah, my 900€ laptop got stolen

I used to have a I7 w 8GB Ram, SSD and FullHD resolution.

need to get a cheap replacement asap.

what's the lowest quality I should get? Is a I3 worthwhile until I grind out something better? Can I live off less than 4gb ram?

I got like 600€ right now, but if I spend that, I have to start again playing <1$ games, so yeah...

any help? thx

This laptop is a bit of frankenstein that didn't do too well but has good reviews. It is an ultraportable with a 4k screen... so battery life was about 1hr 15mins lol. Good for grinding if u don't mind smaller screen.

Just assuming postflop simulations... what are most important pieces of hardware for this? CPU with lots of cores/hyperthreadding? RAM?

Wug tech wizards?

Best laptop atm people using barring macbooks ?

Looking on overclockers it seems the i9 processor is now available but not one laptop yet sold on there. Anyone in europe know where they sell a i9 laptop or if its still in the pipeline? Many thanks

Dell XPS 13/15 is a pretty reliable pick. i7 processor too I don't think you'll have issues with that. Get the high res screen and decent ram tho ofc.

Also latest intel chips aren't vital - people are saying they're overhyping this release as AMD has made some progress.

Was looking at getting imac for grinding plus programming but they're so expensive - might as well get 15 inch macbook pro for the price. Also they still use hard drives etc. Would have thought they'd be discounted by now.

i have pretty much identical requirement minus the DOTA/gaming...so what did you end up finding for your budget? will the US poker sites like ingition and WPN even work with Windows 10 touch screen devices or is it only going to work in laptop mode?

Steelcase Gesture chair https://store.steelcase.com/seating/...chairs/gesture

Looks like a standard office task chair but offers so much more.

Anyone with a deeper understanding of what setup to aim for, when it comes to buying a computer dedicated for mass MTT grind?

Let's say we're running a 2-monitor setup: one with UW4K or DCI 4K and the other with "only" 2560x1600.
Also, we have 4 or 5 poker clients running with a total of about 16 tables (plus 16 lobbies). And of course PokerTracker4 running a local postgresSQL.

Now, what is minimum and what is recommended here?
I'm thinking of buying a desktop in the "light gaming" segment with:
  • i5-7400:
  • 8 GB DDR4 2400 MHz
  • Nvidia GTX 1050 2 GB
  • SSD or normal HDD (don't think this matters much)
  • Win 10 Pro

So yeah, looking for someone with insight here. Thoughts?

Looking ahead what is a good budget friendly 17-18" laptop for 4 tabling? Budget is TBD, but I am curious on an inexpensive solid one that I can play 4 tables at once and visibly see them fairly well when tiled. Let's assume $750 or less for the budget.

I sometimes play even 12 tables rather than 6 on a 15" 1080p laptop, so I'd guess that there is not one laptop in that price range, where this would be a problem.

After discussing it with a buddy it sounds like it would be cheaper to just go with a bigger monitor and wireless keyboard. There are monitors that are about 24" for just under $150. I have some links I can post at ones I am looking at but am not sure if it is allowed. If it is not this post can be deleted. I am solely looking to play poker on it and probably browse the internet a bit while maybe killing time. I'm not much of a techy person, but these seem similar.

This one is a bit smaller but crazy price.

So this may be already answered, but I feel I have a very basic knowledge of computers. Seems like the people here would be able to help.

I am looking to get a desktop in a month or two. I would be using it strictly on ACR (from NY) and only for MTT's, tabling 5 max at a time. I wouldn't be using the computer for anything other than daily browsing.

I was thinking that something simple like an i5 processor and 8GB of ram would be fine. Am I correct on this assumption, or could I get away with something cheaper and smaller?

I don't really want to spend more than $500-600.

Thanks in advance.

Finally went wireless keyboard and mouse, upgraded to 27" curved monitor, and random office chair that was going to be disposed of at work.

Not a baller set up, but even these small improvements felt amazing after laptop grinding for ages.

Hey guys,

what monitor would you recommend for 16tabling on Pokerstars?

Would 32" be enough so that I can fit 16 tiled tables without overlapping and being able to see the HUD?

I know that resolution is also very important, so please be specific and thank you in advance!
