In a way it's cool if the table is bigger, it'll help me concentrate even more. Are there any compatibility issues other than that the pixels/reso may appear out of scale compared to other screens? Like all screens work with other screens right?

I'd like to get a 3rd screen but all screens are too wide. I already have 2x 30 inchers and I'd need just a tiny one. The problem is that even the tinies screens are too wide for me cover all three of them properly. So are there screens that would be vertical instead of horizontal (high but not wide)? Or is there anything else like that I could do?

see this... http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=...ostcount=15603 ...you're looking for a Dell 2007FP (it's 20" 4:3, not the 2007 WFP 16:9 widescreen) and need to run it at 1600 x 1200 res in portrait mode to slot it in between the 30's at same pixel size

I'm assuming the 2 30's you refer to are monitors (not 1920 x 1080 TV's) running at 2560 x 1600 resolution??

Monitors rotated in portrait mode will display just as clearly as in standard landscape mode. I used to play with a 20|30|20 setup (with the 20s in portrait). You want to find something with a 1600x1200 resolution.

... and as I right this I realize that 16:10 aspect ratio seems to be getting replaced. The euro marketplace might be different so look around. Anything 1600x should fit well.

Dell has put their UltraSharp U3011 on sale for $999 CDN a few times lately; so just over 1k with taxes.

If I mostly 8-10 table, is a 30in overkill?

Anyone in here with video editing experience?

I run a PC with Win 7 ultimate and need to get video editing software to do a contract job adding in subtitles and statistics frames to training videos.

I have done similar work in the past but it's been several years and there's been huge leaps in technology since then.

Re: ***Official Laptop/Monitor/Computer/Grinding Equipment Discussion Thread***

got a question : will http://www.laptopsreviewprice.com/20...10-laptop.html be sufficient for 15-20 tables grind (sngs on pokerstars) + TN + HEM + browser and things like winamp, movie player ? i know its far from ideal, (after reading this entire thread) but wondering if ill be able to grind without laggs and spikes, before i get my hands on something more pro? thank you.

Re: ***Official Laptop/Monitor/Computer/Grinding Equipment Discussion Thread***

Anyone know what kind of backpack I need to buy that will fit a 17" ASUS G73 laptop? I just ordered an Everki Beacon after doing a little research but I'm just wondering if anyone else has this machine and a bag it fits in that can confirm.

edit: Also, was buying the G73 as a desktop replacement for grinding a good idea in the first place? It's refurbished from Newegg.

Re: ***Official Laptop/Monitor/Computer/Grinding Equipment Discussion Thread***

Why doesn't anyone use the Apple 27''? Too small for the resolution? I was thinking of replacing my 2x24'' 1920x1200 with 2x27'' but they might end up being too small for the resolution?

Ugh if only there would be decent huds for Macs

i use it with an iMAc, but rather buy a normal, matte 30" + windows computer.

Re: ***Official Laptop/Monitor/Computer/Grinding Equipment Discussion Thread***

They're so much more expensive than the Apple Monitors and they seem worse in specs. In plus I don't think I would like 2x30'' rather than 2x27'' ...
