Re: ***Official CABO BOYS Containment Thread***

Rather than starting a new thread in the travel forum maybe this will work here.

I am planning on taking a week long trip to Cabo this March as a tourist (cause the rest of my group doesnt want to go to Aruba). Can some of you guys in Cabo provide maybe some cliff notes on the following to save me from reading through the first 11 pages.

1. Areas/resorts to stay. Less than 1500 for the week lodging is preferred.
2. Areas/resorts to avoid.
3. Must see/do things while there.
4. Good bars/nightlife
5. Any other info that might be helpful.

Thanks in advance

Book a resort at priceline using their negotiator. Just select resorts only for the cabo area. I stayed at ME Cabo for 130/night and tipped 1000 pesos to the checkin clerk to get upgraded to the "Levels" suites in top floor. Room is normally 400/night if you book on their site...

Re: ***Official CABO BOYS Containment Thread***

Hi guys,

I am cashgame player from Amsterdam, interested in living here (atm I am in Playa del Carmen)

Some questions:
Can somebody tell me what the poker community is like in Cabo? How many players are living here approx? And do you guys have regular dinners and activities and stuff? And where are most players living: in San Jose del Cabo or San Lucas del Cabo?

Thanks a lot.

Went and played the ocean course on tuesday, time well spent.
Then took UFOs rec and went to Señor Sweets last night for a good meal. Looked like a group of poker player "types" at the long next door, not that you guys have a "type" or anything

Sorry, I was someone's guest so I am not sure.
But I am sure whatever it is it will be worth it if you go. Has to be significantly cheaper than comparable US courses.

There's probably like 40+ people living here (San Lucas), and around 20 in the same building near the marina, with the rest in other apartment complexes close by, and in houses in a nearby community (<5 minute drive). There's usually some sort of group going out to dinner every night, and most of us are interested in sports of some kind on a regular basis. Pickup basketball probably happens like 1-2x/week, and there's also a group that plays soccer with the locals at a nearby park. On Mondays there's usually a crew that plays a round of golf, and you can find people to play tennis with during the week as well.
