The danger is (through no fault of his own) that 888 rep is merely a messenger.

He doesn't have the direct influence that Bryan and Shyam have.

It's most likely that he'll reply but at best he can only really say "I've passed this on for you".

That said, this thread should help 888 see that they have a real opportunity here given many players are frustrated and starting to view them as best alternative.

and lol at ragging on stars in this way; a lot of you guys seem to big up 888 lately but its still so so so so far behind stars in every way apart from a couple of good mtts.

if their rep is more effective and responsive than bryan i would be amazed. not that bryan is amazing, just 888 software and support is so poor.

imagine if there had been no sound in your stars client for 4 months. this is what we are dealing with.

make prizepools a bit bigger
add some extra tourneys like freezouts or rebuys
add them in early CET hours (8-16)

I know that you used "no sound" as an example, but I can easily imagine my stars client without sound, because I haven't used any in two years.

- The finale table payouts need to get fixed, the jumps are just ridiculous, especially when you can't make deals.

T- he late game of the monsoon def needs some more levels.

- earlier ante's would be sweet, litterally nobody likes 75/150 or 100/200 levels without ante's.

what do u guys think about the pre antes structure in 888 MTTs? i feel like antes kick in too late and we are super shallow at that time, excepting the mega deep and volcano. you still have 50bbs when antes kick in, in comparison to croco/tornado when you would have 25bbs

squire, reasoning behind not wanting a deal option? I mean you can always decline, I'd def rather see a deal option than flattening payouts too much. if you wish to go for glory you still have the option...

Its way more important in the major mtt's on their site imo.

I'm much more indifferent if it's a vanilla $22 deepstack, In fact I think that making 1st prize more attractive in these smaller mtt';s is best. But say you FT a sunday Major and you end up playing a shallow stack HU game for huge amounts of money you would rather have a way to make a deal.

In the last Whale, 50% of the prize pool was in the top 3 places.

It pretty much means (I think) that to realise your Equity in such a field you need to come top 3 over a decent sample. I think having it a bit flatter would be beneficial... and the first prize would still be attractive.

that's selfish. The lower levels also suffer from horrible payout structures. Also the lower numbers on games running total on 888 makes it even harder to variance it out.

Why is that selfish? As mentioned recs are attracted by big fest prizes so the bowl def benefit from that yolo payout structure. Don't think it's terrible at all fwiw at low stakes but when the money gets huge it's just silly

Flattening payout structure is definitely gonna hinder the 100-200 player fields which fill the midweek schedule and these fields are small enough that you can "variance it out" about as well as possible for an mtt. ITM is like 15-20 players, so > half of your ITM's are FT appearances.

I think it makes a lot more sense in the bigger comps, as mentioned. And given it's a much esier change to implement than intro software for deal making I think it's the most realistic solution.

I just saw there is a "MARCHandise Madness" Freeroll for players who deposit 50$ with the "Madmarch" code.

Well the game had 25 min entrants and just got cancelled due to having only 16 players. I had no idea you had a promo running by this - and I guess a ****load of people also did not. Except those 16 who just went sour because their freeroll, where they deposited 50$ for, was cancelled.

You def need to improve the way you advertise your promos instead of having some sweet promos somewhere in the lobby when you filter only freerolls.

20$K Swing into the action freeroll - as for being a huge thing, I maybe saw the ad only 2-3 times.

yeah i just like the fact theres no deals, although it would prob be beneficial, im more onboard for a deal option, i think flattening the payouts is the worst suggestion in the thread!

look what party poker did to there payout structures and how that affected every mtt on the site can the majority say they want to grind the monsoon with 80 pay and $2500 ftw rather than 40 pay and $5k ftw? grow up lets not kill 888 like they did party
