Befriend a euro and have them set up an account, ship $ outside the poker realm, play on their account, give small % of profits and keep playing? Just asking.

Can't help but think any non poker friends/family i talk to about this is thinking in the back of there mind (obv. online poker is sketch) pretty ****ty feeling. More angry at myslef then the gov. or anyone else for not being prepared for such an accurance. Over the past few months playing 180s has been pretty great, many of you are good people and i wish you all the best. I've also felt my 180 game getting better and better and it was showing in my results. Oh well gonna muster up all the strength I got and face this world w/o the crutch i've rellied so heavily on for 4 years now.....

not a crutch brother, its a skill game and you have loads of skill. eff anyone who looks down on you.
i'm staying positive. for all we know this could spearhead legislation to regulate and tax online poker. after all uncle same is dead broke and if the sites all have to pay a multi hundred million dollar licensing fee, etc, plus fees, fines, penalties, their first born, etc, the gov't may want to get the ball rolling?

joohny what you said is the biggest kick in the balls, most of us (you guys really, i have a job n just play poker cuz i enjoy it) are good people who are trying to earn a living by using a skill that they have. no ones hurting anyone or doing anything crazy.
like you said now youve been spending years and years to perfect your craft and one day its just taken away. messed up imo.
i already really miss 180s and i dont even play for a living, really feeling for you pros and hope to god everything works out.....

Re: ***OFFICIAL 180-man Regs Thread NSFW***
everyone who has managed to succeed in this disgustingly variance ridden environment while continuing the grind, disregarding all the beats pushing to try and pop that giant opportunity bubble can without a doubt transfer that same skill set (mental fortitude, discipline, determination, information analysis, stat application, etc) to any field- be it school, work, whatever.
i'd guess that some if not most of us don't really have anything immediate that we can fall back on atm obv exacerbated by the lack of demand for "degenerate gamblers" who chose to bet on themselves and acquire the skills necessary to succeed in a world where a huge majority do nothing but lose, but f, if you can put up with 100 BI downswings on the REG, you can deal with a couple months of real life grinding where the only possible downswing is not puttin in work.
if any of you guys want to chat some time, about whatever, i'd love to be able to interact with some people in a similar situation, preferably not about poker shi tho lol

yea i dont wna sound like a huge douche but ur treating it very mater of factly, as if these guys who have spent hours upon hours for the last however many years should just throw in the white flag rite now and move on to "grind real life"...
also not a knock on anyone but a lot of grinder withouth a doubt work very very very hard on there poker game, but the fact of the matter is u can work ur ass off at poker while sitting in sweat pants in a comfy chair listening to music in your bedroom, not sure how excited these guys are to hafta go out into the real world when most of them probably havent done anything like that since they graduation high school or college years ago

Re: ***OFFICIAL 180-man Regs Thread NSFW***
np. just trying to offer some support for those that i'd suppose feel pretty down and dazed about the whole ordeal (as i do).
i won't speculate about the future of online poker here, but for myself, i feel more comfortable going out and pursuing something else now that i'm forced to, at least until the dust settles and we know the complete situation.

yea of course and that by all means is a respectable decision, but i would think in all honesty that a lot of grinders wont b so willing to just forget poker and go another route in life, especially wen for a lot of them grindin poker is all they know. at the very least none are willing to do that just 2 days after everything went down

+1 to what bagnus said. 180grinders - keep your heads up.
If anyone is considering moving to give live poker a shot, hit me up...considering moving to Florida in a couple months for some real soft cash games. 80% of the tables down there are old, retired, and rich. EZ game.

Re: ***OFFICIAL 180-man Regs Thread NSFW***
I was away all weekend and although I heard about everything right away...it all is just hitting me now. It still seems unreal. Life certainly just got tougher but hopefully I can turn it into a positive.
