I have a flight at 6 AM tomorrow. I need to go to bed and I just drank 4 beers to try and relax, which failed because I'm still rattled and doubt I'll sleep at all tonight.

It happened so fast, I just tried to stay calm and didn't really think about how terrifying it was until after we were on the ground. I thought I felt OK but when I called my mom she said I sounded terrible LOL.
