I play some 180 mans and I see lot of players would min raise sb vs bb when they have say 12bb-30bb. The thing is im sure many of these players are regulars as they play lot of tables. But isn't this a leak? If it is... then i can't imagine its a leak because even top name players seem to do this.


Since min raising sb vs bb give the bb very good pot odds and position, isn't min raising a mistake? I read that for tournamnet play its a leak but 180 mans its different?

in most circumstances its bad, but given the BB can be overfolding to minraises its not really possible to answer in a vacuum. fwiw 'top name players' usually arent regs at 180s.

By top name players i do notice a few top name players play these. I think some of them play these because they need to load more tables. But they do the same thing it seems.


Well i took a look at sharkscope leaderboard at the 180s and almost all of these players seem to min raise sb vs bb. Yes there are some that 2.x it but those players usually aren't in the top of the leaderboard. So if thats the case, then why is it the top players who are doing this... are they making a mistake? I can't imagine it being a mistake b/c all the 180 regs that are top ones seem to do this.

I wouldn't pay much attention to the leaderboards for things like this, most of the top guys are not going to be on the leaderboards simply cause they are off playing other games and don't put in the volume needed to be on them.
