I like it and think it is a good idea for the micro players.

I also think the non rebuy, non turbo events could stand a buy in of $5 without degrading the field sizes too much.

Is the main going to be a one day event, if so then I would think an earlier start time of maybe 14:30 would work better as people at this level of buy in will have something to do Monday morning be it work or college, but I am being euro centric there.

Event 05: $10.50 NL Hold'em [Turbo, SuperKnockout]
Educated guess would be $5+$5+$0.50, so 50% of pool is KO's.

awesome!!
the field sizes will be crazy .. can't wait to rail some of the FTs and watching people sh*t their pants because of the money being on the line..

oh..and running satellites for micro MTTs? Srsly? I always imagine a few people playing a one table satellite for $1 outside the movie theater and the winner gets a seat to the movie. lol.

Absolutely awesome PokerStars, almost thought you had forgot us who don't have $10k+ BRs.

And to the haters, what part of MICROMillions is it that you don't understand? gfys

I agree with some, could be nice with less NLHE and add some others. Or else NLHE might take over even more than it already has which is a bit sad imo. The more classic ways of poker is a lot of fun too.

Also fix the server issues, no one want lags.

Our developers have looked into this and assured us that the recent issues have been unrelated to the sizes of tournaments running at the time. It was very unfortunate that one such issue occurred right as the Sunday Storm was about to begin play, but it wasn't related to the Storm in any way. Similarly, the issue from a few days ago was at a period of relatively low activity with no huge tournaments in progress (or about to start) and wasn't related to tournament play, though tournaments were affected. We will of course do everything we can to ensure that the site runs as smoothly as possible during the series, and every day, in fact. I realize that the disruptions are upsetting, and can only assure you that our developers are working diligently to prevent future issues.

I must admit that I don't understand this comment. If someone wants to play less events, isn't the solution then to play only the ones which interest them, etc? If I've misunderstood your comment, please let me know.

Our information/opinion is that there's a definite difference for many players between $2 and $5. Additionally, for an individual tournament, it is likely accurate to say that lots of players who wouldn't normally jump from $2 to $5 will do so given the opportunity to play a headline event. Having said that, this is a series of events, not an individual tournament, and raising all of the $2/$3/$4 tournaments to $5 would raise the overall cost of playing in multiple events by significant amount, limiting the number of chances some players would have to participate.

Here's the schedule for Day 2, just as an example, in AEDT:

Event 08 -- 16:30 AEDT -- $3.30 NL Hold'em [6-Max, Rebuys]
Event 09 -- 21:00 AEDT -- $2.20 NL Omaha Hi/Lo
Event 10 -- 23:30 AEDT -- $5.50 NL Hold'em
Event 11 -- 01:00 AEDT -- $8.80 NL Hold'em
Event 12 -- 03:00 AEDT -- $1.00 NL Hold'em [3x-Turbo, Rebuys]
Event 13 -- 04:30 AEDT -- $11.00 NL Hold'em
Event 14 -- 06:30 AEDT -- $3.30 Limit Stud H/L
Event 15 -- 08:00 AEDT -- $4.40 NL Hold'em [6-Max]
Event 16 -- 12:00 AEDT -- $2.20 NL Hold'em [Turbo, 6-Max]

I can see the ones in the middle of the Aussie night not being preferred, but I'd also say that there are a number of events there in a good time for Australians. Do you disagree?

1. Will the blind structures be identical across all tournaments? Obviously the turbos will be 5 mins, but will the $22 main event have a slower blind increase than a regular $3.30 freezeout?
2. With a 1 mill guarantee, the main event forecasts to get a field of 40k-100k players. Do you plan on making this or any other tournaments in the series a 2-day event?
3. As an advocate of Omaha 8, is there a reason that there's exactly 1 O8 tournament in the series? I believe a $2-$8 PLO8 should be considered.
4. IMO, it doesn't look there was much thought in coming up with the the lone Omaha 8 event (Event 9 - $2.20 NLO8 freezeout). A $2.20 9-man freezeout is a format that is not offered on the regular MTT schedule. I believe a better choice would be to put out the popular 3x rebuy at a $5 buyin and expect a decent showing. There are currently 3 of these running on the regular MTT schedule ($2.20 buyin) and they extremely popular. Throw in satellites + the extra prestige of being attached to the series and you should see a great turnout.
5. It seems like the micro stake casual players do not find Limit games to be as popular. Is this the reason why there is no Fixed Limit Omaha 8 MTT in this series? I'm not necessarily petitioning for one to be added, just wanted you to share your thoughts.
1. The blind structures will be very similar to SCOOP-L, with 10-minute levels for most, 5-minutes for turbo and heads-up, etc.
2. We do not plan to make any of these events 2-day.
3, 4, & 5. This was an oversight, and highlights one of the reasons it's very useful to get more eyes on things before we make them final. I'm an O/8 advocate myself, and am surprised that I didn't notice this issue. It looks like we simply had a blind spot with regard to Omaha Hi/Lo when writing the schedule overall. This has now been addressed, and we've added a few more O/8 tournaments, along with some other changes based on early feedback. The updated schedule is at the bottom of this post. I assure you that an enormous amount of thought has gone into every stage of this series so far. Having said that, we're not perfect and we miss a thing or two occasionally. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

A SuperKnockout is one which has a much higher than normal knockout amount, in the case of the MicroMillions event one which is equivalent to the buy-in.
