It is a trophy, no big deal.
If there were real bricks of cash on the table and one of them swiped it for some fun and games, I'm sure people would be singing a different tune. Well, obviously? WTF are you even saying? Are you comparing the trophy to money or just stating an obvious irrelevant point? Either way you are coming off ridiculous. You sound like UCLABRUINZ.
Its a ****ing cheap trophy, and it ended up in the right hands.
If someone offered you enough money I'm 100% sure you would steal the trophy too.

Well there you have it, I think it's a big deal, you don't. I've never heard specifically where the money for the WSOP bracelet comes from, but I would have the same reaction if they stole a bracelet. Part of the prizepool just means "something you can win by playing the tourney." If the trophy was a solid gold statue valued at 10k that was added by stars as incentive for ladies to play, would that make a difference even though money wasn't taken out?
I don't think that it is anyone's right to judge what is "no big deal" to steal. The value of the trophy is irrelevant, a prize was stolen and had to be forcibly returned. My point regarding the "bricks of cash" is that people ITT seem to be giving theft of a prize a free pass because they can't see past the object that is the ladies event trophy.
And please don't put words in my mouth or "actions in my hands", I would not steal that trophy for any amount of money. Maybe its a bit unfathomable to you that someone would have that kind of moral compass, but I suppose you'll have to take my word for it. Saying that you are "100% sure" that I would steal given the proper motives is rather insulting. Please don't take this last paragraph overboard, I can see the insane hypotheticals coming where someone offers me a billion, it gets wired into a swiss bank account where no one will ever see or hear about it. I just don't steal. The end.
