I cancelled Max's shares for the 1 event he had reserved for me to see how this develops. If Max's story about it only going on for 2 weeks and then realizing it was wrong and stopping it turns out legit, I would have no problem selling to him in the future(assuming he would still want to sell to me after cancelling his reserve here). But I think it will take weeks to sort this out and I don't want to do anything I regret.
1- Do you agree that the guy gives back to the community every day more than any EV he could have possibly stolen throughout his entire ghosting adventure? does that count for anything?
2- Do you really think getting backed by him, regardless of whether he ghosted 2 years ago or not is going to reflect anything on those getting backed by him? could it be possible that people are overdoing the "morality" thing considering we're involved in an industry that is by nature always going to have "dirty money" in it? finally, lets be real. The guy backs a gazzillion people. no one is gonna think or even have the time to think less of you for associating with him so this whole point is quite moot imo.
3- Do you not agree that ghosting is happening and will continue to happen ? if so then how is it fair to punish one guy who believed 2 years ago that he'd rather not be hypocrite about it? moreover, did he not clearly show respect for the community's desires and conviction by stopping the business regardless of what he personally thinks about ghosting?
If everyone who stole a $ of EV from the community gave $10 back in return the poker world would be a better place. that's a message I don't mind sending by "overlooking" an error of judgment he may have made 2 years ago.
