Re: Marc Wright aka dean23price still scamming July 2012

Just posted on english forum about this.

will paste here

Hi.
The thread is currently blocked so wanted to post here so all is clear.
I went to EPT berlin last minute. Patrick (pleno) reccomended to me lewis hunter had a spare bed and me and lewis got tlking. He defo seemed genuine, nice guy. We met for the first time in germany.
We got on real good straight away, played an online session together and spoke about poker / life / women etc etc.
We briefly discussed a swap that night, but nothing concrete.
The next morrning (the morning before the torny) lewis suggested a 5% swap.
For people that know me well, know that i rarely swap (i often sell, but rarely swap). I neither accepted this swap nor declined it, and we never came to any particular agreement, it was all a bit cloudy tbh (poor communication on both our parts for sure). The fact was that i only had a small piece of myself and was some on MU etc so there is NO WAY i would of swapped 5% with ANYONE, especially someone whom i have never seen play poker and someone whom i know nothing about there game.
We went into the main event with nothing concrete agreed (obviously this was down to poor communication on both parts).
Lewis busted the torny early and i finished day 1 with a really big stack.
Nothing was said about the % untill the end of day 3, where i said he would have 5% of what i made from the torny. This was the only possible swap i would of done.
As i said NO SWAP was agreed, but lewis was genuine and he had in his mind that we had a swap of some kind. I want to make it clear that me and lewis did get on very well and i would of classed him as a mate after knowing him for a very little period of time.

Coming home from germany straight away after busting in 7th was due to f tilt obviously and didnt even think about giving him a "drink" from the score.
We spoke online after germany and i snap sent him some money that i owed towards the room / room sevrice etc (i sent this money on the day he asked for it np, and im sure he will say so). He asked for the % (5% in his mind). I wanted to ask the opinion of some others before agreeing an mount with him, and in the end i asked him if we should get someone to mediate. I spoke to pleno about it and he said in lewis's mind we did have a 5% swap, and i do believe that he thought this, but as i said, i would of NO WAY agreed to a full 5% swap.

Im sorry if people on here wana take sides etc, but this was between me and lewis and i feel he should of just waited untill i finished in vegas then we could of sorted it properly.
putting it on here cant help in anyway.

Will answer any questions that are constructive. Im going to contact lewis away from the public eye in an attempt to resolve this fast.

I have sold MANY packages in blonde over the past 2 years and won alot for blonde members. I have allways paid as fast as possible and im sure regular buyers would vouch for that. I paid out investers alot of money after EPT berlin and have had large online scores too. I am friends with alot of blonde memebers and i feel i have acted honestly and made sure everything has been perfect to the best of my ability.
I am really disapointed by this thread and i could do without it while playing the wsop main.

And this entirely makes it irrelevant how you have stolen money from a ton of people and screwed over your previous backers!

I don't see how you don't owe him 5% of the score, surely that is what a 5% swap means? unless clearly stated otherwise, looks like you are trying to angleshooot

In March/April 2012 I won a seat into EPT Berlin Main Event which I had planned to goto alone.

On 13th April 2012 I got a message from Marc Wright asking if I would be willing to room share. I agreed to this free of charge with the condition that he gets a couple of room service meals/dinners in and we'd both be happy. I'd never met him previously but am a generous guy and thought I would try help out a fellow poker professional.

Marc arrived the night before the tournament and we decided to grind some mtts online. After the session we talked about swapping for EPT Berlin.

He wanted to do a deal where we would give the other person their buyin back if they reached the final table. I didn't really want to do this as I would prefer a FT sweat if either of us got there.

I asked if we could swap 5% instead which he agreed upon.

I busted in the last couple levels of the day. Marc went on to final table the event.

My brother came over to visit so on the day of the final table I railed the first 30 minutes then went to do some sight seeing. As I was on my way back to the rail I read on pokernews that he'd busted. I sent him a few messages saying unlucky etc and asking if he wanted to meet up. No response.

Instantly I'm feeling bad vibes but I hoped he was all good and he just wanted to get home as fast as possible - understandable.

I get home and message Marc, he says we did not swap a full 5%:

He offers to send me the money tomorrow (how much I don't know?) on the 29th April:

Marc then goes on to say he can't send the money in one lump sum and that he has to send in installments, offering only 3000€ instead of the full 4850€ owe:

Marc suggests getting a neutral to 'referee' the situation, surely its black and white?

Marc offers me 2000$ as payment for our swap:

19th June, I ask Marc to pay me, he agrees.

22nd and 25th June, I try to contact Marc again to ask for payment, agrees once more.

There are more instances of Marc offering to make payment, but I thought these were enough screenshots.

As of 10th July 2012 I am still waiting for any funds to be paid to myself, despite Marc making multiple offers to pay less than the full 5%.

It's a shame because the guy is a top bloke, I stupidly trusted him thinking he'd put these scams behind him, but this obviously is not the case.

Please don't deal with this guy.

Cliffs

- I swapped 5% with Marc Wright aka dean23price in the EPT Berlin Main Event.
- Marc goes on to final table which is good for 97,000€
- Marc leaves after busting back for the UK without speaking or messaging me.
- Marc claims he does not have 100% of himself and is therefore unwilling to pay me the full 5% which we agreed to swap.
- I am offered 3000€ instead of the full 4850€ he is owe me.
- Marc repeatedly says he will transfer the money to me and fails to do so.
- Marc offers to make smaller payment (2000$ = 32.9% of what we agreed to swap) multiple times and as yet has still failed to do so.
Marc, did you post this on the English forum, these conversations are pretty damning.

Re: Marc Wright aka dean23price still scamming July 2012

Hey, Mickey pointed me towards this thread today; hadn't seen it yet since I was playing the main. Firaldo87 and I have been backing Marc for mtts since about March or so.

We had 50% of him in Berlin towards makeup---he sold some and put up the rest himself. Obviously, neither of us were aware of this swapping situation at all until this thread was made. I haven't been able to talk to Marc myself yet since I was playing the main as is he.

At any rate, both Firaldo and I will ensure this situation gets sorted so that both parties feel assuaged. It's unfortunate but if it was just a genuine misunderstanding, I'm sure it can get fixed pretty easily. Either way, I can assure everyone that this isn't something that's being ignored and it'll get fixed (probably outside this forum, but everyone will be aware of the results)

Thanks.

So, it was all a big misunderstanding, with someone you considered a mate, and who helped you out without knowing you, yet you didnt just SORT IT OUT. You dragged it out and blew him off for months.

Even if it was an honest mistake (which I highly doubt), you sound great! And by great I mean like a weasely ****bag of a person Marc Wright.

in general I'm against violence, but in your case...

you are trying to Jamie Gold him. You know you're wrong, you're just trying to angle and wiggle your way out of paying what you're rightfully owe. All the "cloudiness" and "poor communication" is coming from you, he said "let's swap 5%", that's very clear and straight forward, and you say "in his mind"? Lol, it's in your scumbag mind 5% is not booked (since YOU cashed), and 5% swap means 5% of your cut, minus the makeup and whatever else you decide to subtract. 5% swap means 5% of the total cash, that's the standard, so if you want to deviate from the standard with your retardation, YOU are the one who's suppose to clearly state that you're swapping 5% of your cut, and you obviously didn't do that. You would also obviously collect the full 5% had OP cashed.

You feel he should have waited until you finish in Vegas? Why don't you give me 20k, then you'll wait for 6 months until I'm done with whatever I'm doing, and then we can "sort out" if I owe you 20k or not.

Putting it on here definitely can't help you and your reputation, but it will certainly help OP.

If you don't want threads like this, stop stealing.
