Anyone heard anything more about mixed games in London apart from the odd £1/2 PLO going on at Empire/Vic/ Maybe something in the way of a DC game?

£1/2 DC game at the international runs 4-5 days/week

I see this place called the palm beach casino has a 400 pound sunday tourney. I see this place is pretty upscale. Does that mean the competition is soft? And how many runners should I expect to see in it. Also they have a thousand pound tourney next monday night? What could I expect in that?

The 1k Monday at the Palm Beach is surely a two day tournament right? I've heard from a local that it gets about 180 players?

Was very, very soft when I played. 40% of the field are bad beyond belief. Lot of old school live pros make up the rest with 5% good online guys.

Im gonna be in London 27-29th August, can anyone recommend a cheap yet decent hotel in a nice-ish area?

I saw one on lastminute for under £100, 5* Grange St. Pauls, seems pretty central, am I gonna get better than that?

I was thrilled to discover on a trip to oslo last year that a pint cost on average £8. I didn't drink much that trip. I don't live in London, but I have yet to have a night out there where I have not spent at least £100!
