Pete your troll game is the worst on the internet.

Everyone trolls your threads because they were terrible and deserved it.

This is giving some praise to a good poster who is a big philanthropist. Please explain how this thread is dumb as you mentioned previously.

To be honest I wish he didn't explain.

Not many examples of a good guy in poker and it's a shame that a thread like this goes south.

a single thread with a positive message. nearly 50% of the total posts being trolls from one individual. think about that pete.

Sadly not - busted in 20th place, but really enjoyed the experience. Didn't help that Ihad a deep-stacked Siever on my left on both days. Aria did a great job, and rake-free too!

Altruism is complicated. People give for lots of different reasons, some selfish and others not. We all like to be seen positively by others but I don't see that as a bad motivation. I feel that helping those in most need adds fulfillment and positive purpose to my life. At it's root, giving to help others is an extension of the kindness we show to strangers like holding open a door for someone carrying a load, giving directions to someone who is lost or giving up a seat on the bus to a pregnant or elderly person. If you're the type of person who does those things then you're a philanthropist.

I certainly wasn't born with money. Like poker it took hard work and a lot of luck.

Thank you to all those itt with kind words about philanthropy and 2+2 posting. I hope that, whether or not people agree with my pov, I add some value/perpectives to the discussions on the forum. I also appreciate the value I gain from being part of the 2+2 community. Sadly the crap/value raio seems to be rising lately but there are often great insights between the trolling etc.

To those who see philanthropy as merely selfish I would urge you to view the world from a wider perspective than your own narrow self-interest. You'll feel happier in the long term. For those interested in giving, I suggest checking out REG ("Raising for Effective Giving") which is set up by poker players to help others give efficiently.

Talal easily one of the coolest guys in poker, always been a huge fan. Great to see this thread

Everything, from his screen name to his posts and how he actually plays at the table, told me raidalot must've been a ~25yo HSMTT crusher. Him not being a professional poker player didn't even enter my mind tbh, so this thread was quite the revelation

I was posting bad, and I do feel bad. Don't feel the need to write a longass post about why I'm so mad atm, but you the man OP, honestly. No matter where the dough is from, if you spread like it Robin Hood, you're doing good.
As soon as I have bought a farm with fertile soil, a fireplace, solar cells for energy on the roof, and about a dozen cows and chicks, I'll proceed in a similar way with all the cash that my urge to gamble still discards by then, I think.
