FYP.

I agree on the overconcentration part, and that juiy fruits fk u up in the long term, as you eventuallt can't function without them. I've never touched other fruits than bananas, and I never will.

Even though eating bananas bring up my A+ game, and therefore is more EV than not eating bananas, I can't imagine that my non-banana game would be any better had I never touched bananas at all...

Then again I might just be another banana degen

Edit: Dam, out of bananas. Better go pick some...

I am working today due to lack of holiday :-(

Sadly it keeps me far far away from any banana's, other than breakfast. Never good to show up in the office w/fruit on your breath.

Especially since it pays me more than poker as I'm a micro limit donk.

When I was working full time (looong time ago...) I had banana split for breakfast, then I put a nice set of three golden bananas in special box of mine, one for the pre-lunch break, one for the lunch break and another one for the post-lunch break. Can't believe I held that job for three months. Would've been a lot less without bananas...

Lol- sounds about like what I do. Been here 3 years now making way less than I should ( srsly salary sux!). if I didn't like them volcanic i'd have them at lunch aswell. At least I get to read 2p2 from work though.

working mornings and being up at 6:30 am really destroys my motivation to grind in the evenings, so I end up playing way above my roll. the second I can afford to play games big enough to make myself more than 35kCAD a year I'm out of here lol no matter how many endless hours i have to grind to accomplish it.

being with someone who thinks it's fine to eat a billion banana's a month, but is of the opinion that >$10 deposit at a pokersite at one time is degen/gambling has NOT helped my roll at all, especially since I had to cash it out and use it for my moving expenses. Friggen women. However I can say I havnt' cooked for myself or done my own laundry in a year. WOrth it? dunno. Maybe.

Real conversation:

her:"WHAT? You want to play ANOTHER live tourney? Didn't you waste $60 on one of those a month ago"

me:"yea... but that was a month ago. I would honestly like to play them all. These players aren't that good and if it wasn't for the 1 outer I would have had chiplead at final 2 tables"

her:"yea, but you didn't. That's why this is GAMBLING. Nobody has a better chance than anyone else to win these things, some people are just really really lucky. You should play a cashgame. It's faster, and it's actually possible to have an edge. And at least live, it's not rigged. "

me: "I've only ever really studied or played tournaments, trust me I probably have a bigger edge over these guys there as my cash experience is practically nil. And we've discussed this before. Online poker is not rigged, you are just very, very bad at the game. "

Her: "don't bull**** me, they are the same game"

me: ~facepalm~ "oookayyyyy... well can I just get a BJ or something then?"

Her: kneels

the fact that I keep getting coolerd out of tournaments yet can manage to come home with cash whenever I play 3/6 or 1/2 really doesn't help at all :-p

I tried having a banana at every break.

Then I realized I was 16 tabling 0.10/360 tournaments.

This did not stop me from having one at every break.

Re: ITT we talk about bananas

Ari -

I've definitely noticed a huge drop in my memory retention since my full time banana diet started, sometime around Borgata 2007. Goofy things. Like, I lost my cell phone in my house. Still haven't found it. But, I also have had a career year and have played literally all but two sessions on bananas. One was a sunday few weeks ago and it was my best Sunday since February, and the other was my tv table in March. It was a realllllly hard decision to not have some potassium there.

I think it definitely helps me concentrate and focus more, but I'm not sure if it makes me a better player. Not having bananas makes me more distracted due to my natural add or whatever and a worse player, but if I could somehow find that point of sober focus my results would probably be better than anything I've put up before.

I can provide banana's for anyone forced to have a stopover in Edmonton :-p

( aslong as it's long enough for you to actually come into the city. our international airport is 45 minute drive out of town, literally in the next city over lol)
