I got mugged for 30k in Australia
title says it all, like 4 hours before I was gonna leave my hotel... **** my life, I don't even know what to say or do right now...

I had 30k in chips that I had to cash and exchange for USD before I left so I walked from my hotel (crowne plaza) to the casino (like 3 minute walk).. Got cash, got some mcdonalds, someone must have been casing me or something, cuz right on the middle of the bridge when I am walking back I hear footsteps running and this guy hits me in the back of the head, knocks me down and reaches right into my hoodie and grabs all the money, brandishes a knife, threatens me and runs off...

You were mugged on the bridge that connects the two properties? I hope you got casino security involved. Sorry to hear it, in any case.
Oh nevermind, I see you were at the Crowne Plaza, not the "Promenade." **** dude, this is really a cautionary story for all poker players, sorry to hear it.

Wait if he only has chips, doesnt he have to go and cash them? Can't you inform the casino to look out for someone cashing out 30k in whatever donominations u had the chips in?

Let the Crown Casino know what happened; I don't think there is any downside to that, they might even replace the cash.
