How hard is it to selling percentage of oneself with no live tournament cashes?

I wanted to ask is this. If someone wanted to play in a live tournament like a $500, $1000 or $1500 event... but they have no live tournament cashes... is it basically impossible for a guy like this to sell a percentage of himself on the 2p2 marketplace? What if they are a winning online player though but say its cash or sngs as oppose to tournaments? I do know winning players all charge a markup and really good players charge very high markup.

But would it be possible for a guy with no live tournament cashes to be able to sell a percentage of themselves online as long as he had some online success? What if he was just say winning low stakes sng grinder or MTT? Like if a guy wanted to play in a $1000 tournament and sold shares for as low as $50 and there was no markup and its just even... would a guy like this be able to sell shares?

If you have decent online results against respectable competition (i.e. not just low-stakes SNGs) then you shouldn't have any trouble selling action for softer live MTTs.

Yes, it's possible, but it's way easier if you have respected friends within the poker community and Marketplace who might buy some shares themselves or otherwise recommend you.

Dude if your trying to get staked in live MTTS...If its just a 1k event just ry and get your friends/family to buy shares....I only have one live MTT cash and I couldnt get on market place because I have not been a member of twoplustwo long enough ...I play and deal at a small charity room in Michigan and I just like advised you asked friends and family to buy shares , and I also did this with out any mark up at all....

Another thing I advise you to do is too put a ''package'' of tourneys together rather then just one tourney because this way Investors who ever they may be will get more bang for they're buck...As well investors on here def know that there is super high variance in MTT's and a ''Package'' with say 2 $235 rio daily tourneys and 1 $600 Venetian in vegas ($1070) is a way better chance of me getting an actual ROI from then just one 1k event!

Mostly this ^^^

The MP has def dried up some over the years. But if you have solid online results and references. Along with reasonable mark up or find a very soft tournament then you should have no problem selling out.
