We are trying to get a 12/180 Challenge started. It would be a $20 base entry (could extend if there were requests for it) and would either be at 20:00 ps time on Wednesday or Thursday. What night would be better for everyone who would be interested in playing?

21:00 for us west coasters, come on, they barely take more than an hour anyway. and have different tiers available also, base-$20, then at least a second level, say $50, and possibly a third for $100 or so.

I agree that we could start this later in the night. When we started the 4/180 challenge I was a big advocate of an early start, simply because working-folks couldn't start 4 hour tourneys at 10:00 pm.

With these being turbos, we could even start it at 10:00 (which works better for those of us with small children), and be done with the challenge by midnight.

My vote: 10:00 pm est starting time.

I would be in for 10:00 pm est and would actually prefer Monday, though I could play many Wed or Thur nights.

10pm EST seems like a good time. What do these take, maybe 2 hours?

If thats the case it should finish around the same time the $4/180 challenge finishes (Usually around 12:30am or 1:00am I believe)

hour and a half or so from start to finish, there are no 2nd breaks in these.

since the variance is crazy in these, you need to have a roll to play them. 3 tiers like the 4/180 would be sweet, like tier1-$30, tier2-$70 ($100 total), and tier3-$100 ($200 total).

I think the more $ per tier, and the more tournies played just limits the number of players... like you said BR is a problem for lots of people, thats why the 4/180's work well... if we raise the price much more I think it will limit things. I think $20 would be a good base, then maybe like $50 (70 total) and then $80 (150 total)...

So Wednesday night at 21:00 Stars Time sound good? Same points/rules as the 4/180 Challenge sound good to everyone?


EDIT- I think you may have meant that you have the option between 6 or 8 instead of having to make it in the first 4... If this is what you meant than 6 would probably be okay, and the first 4 that you play in would count...

I agree we should up the total we play to 5 or 6, seeing that these finish so quickly. If we played 6, the total time to play these would still take less than the time it takes for 4/180.
I would be fine with bumping these up by an hour or two.

6 tourneys - wednesday - 11pm eastern imo

i vote wednesday nights, 4 tournys as usual in the $4 challenge, 10pm is cool but im sure is too late for some people who have to work/etc early the next day.

Nearly every Tuesday at 8pm we do the 4/180 challenge (Just not holidays)

I dont think we have ever done a 12/180 challenge though.
