Grinding out large donkaments.

Hi guys,

I'm going to grind out some large donkaments. I'm talking of an average buyin of aprox. 22$. What kind of bankroll should I manage if I'm a very good tournament player?

Thanks,

Eduard

22.000$ but if you are very good at tournaments you should know by now to stop playing them.....

Re: Grinding out large donkaments.

If you consider yourself "very good" at MTTs then I'd say around 500x abi is sufficient to start moving into a certain buyin range. If you want to be there a while then 1000x is probably good so you can sustain a larger downswing before you need to move back down.

edit: Or if you are short on money you could always just get backed

Re: Grinding out large donkaments.

If you are a really good player I think $350 is okay. Since you're probably not as people always think they're better than they actually are, I'd go closer to $3500. Since you don't understand BRM yet it's likely you are just bad and therefore would need closer to $35,000. Kind of depends.

Why is everyone so obnoxious? He had a simple question, and many ITT acting like he's a moron for "not knowing simple BRM." As if anyone really "knows."

But since some people seem to think it's 1,000 buyins--really? I thought 500 ABIs was considered a decent MTT BR, but I am probably a moron too.

Ya, $22,000 seems ridiculous for $22s

He did specify they were going to be large field tournaments though so he would need a bigger bankroll than usual.

If you need more than 100 buyins you shouldn't be playing for a living

Pretty easy to have 500abi downswings these days, especially playing lows-highs. 500 abi is obv fine if you dont mind changing limits a bit.
