There is a dead small blind.
UTG I make it 1800 to play with KK.
Everyone folds to the button who is chip leader but a bit of space cadet.
He throws 5 x 500 chips in without saying a word. (He also admitted not saying a word, normally in a spot like this they claim they said "call").
I am nearly 100% sure he didn't see my raise.
BB passes and I annoubce "reraise" and attemot to put a decent size raise in.
Button causes a huge commotion.. "I only wanted to call!"
Ruling saught.
As he put in 2500, which was more than half my initial raise, he should have been forced to complete the raise to 2800.
I kept quiet while the decision was being made because I was 100% certain that was what the ruling would be and didn't want to give away the strength of my hand by forcing him to come to the correct decision.
But no, the floor chose to let him take the chips back and make it a call.
The flop came AAx.
I led out for 3200 or something and he called. It went c/c on the turn and then he made a huge bet on the river and I folded.
He might well have bluffed me on the river, but that is not the point really. He obv didn't have a premium ace, because he argued so strongly against his bet being counted as a raise. So he would probably have folded for my 4 bet.
It isone of the most basic and common sense rules in no limit holdem and the WSOP floorman just totally fcked up.
Really really annoying.

From day 2 of the 1500 today:
Young guy makes it 3300 at 800/1600. Folds to huge euro fish to my left who asks how much it is and tosses in 4300. Dealer pushes back extra 1k chip. Old man guy who seems to be a muppet bad reg goes to fold then holds his cards. He proceeds to tank for 2 full minutes while shuffling chips/stacking them with a perplexed look on his face. At this point I am shooting glances to people at the table confusedly. Guy then asks the floor to be called to the table. Floor gets there (the big and tall and dolty guy, I think his nametag said Seth) and guy said that he threw in 4300 and it should be a forced to be a minraise. Floor snap rules that he has to make it 5k and walks away from the table. Euro then tries to shove all in and told he has to make it 5k and 5k alone. Old man muppet snapmucks. Folds around back to the guy who made it 3300 who snapjams for like 35k. Euro obv snaps with 66 and loses to the guys K5s. I proceed to bust to the same player AQ<QQ. I proceed to hate myself and most of the human race.
