Hey guys, Im just writting because Im a little bit sad about my results playing MTT in pokerstars. I have read some books of Negreanu and Im actually suscribed to Drawing Dead that is an spanish poker academy. So please you guys that know about poker, tell me what to do, I think that maybe Im not learning or whatever. Otherwise I dont know in what other webs I can watch more videos, because I would like to do the effort to be the best in this, but my money is going down. Hope you can help me.

I would not bother with coaching until you can afford it, ie you have a 5k roll or so. Plenty of free resources, training videos etc. Post hands on here for review. review other peoples hands on here.

not sure what stakes you play, but judging from your OP it's most likely low & microstakes. if you only play pokerstars then, variance will be massive bc of the huge fields. try out some different sites and gain some confidence by actually ft'ing and winning tournaments there. also just constantly keep working on your game, try to surround yourself with people who are at the same skill level, or preferably a little bit more skilled and enjoy the fun ride that mtt poker is

You can start playing tournaments with smaller field, just to gain confidence and know how a ft runs, variance, etc

My advivce would be to just take a break, clear your head do something you enjoy. Come back in a month when you feel motivated again instead of playing with the thought you are gonna lose anyway .

Agree with posts 7 and 8.

My advice would be to try and focus on similar offerings so you get experience in just 1 area and learn to master that.
Small field low stakes Mtts might be a good starting point.

If you want to win MTTs just "git gud". Nothin fancy etc.

Ok jokes aside, MTTs are hard to win even if you are better than everyone else. I am assuming you are a beginning poker player because you say that your experience revolves around some books and some website and playing sometimes? I would agree with the others, try playing some like 6. 9. 18. 27. 45 man SNGs or smaller sized MTTs like less than 500 entrants etc.

I come from an SNG background and I think it gave me a big edge in MTTs for short stack play, shove/call ranges, etc and you can cash more often in them so maybe try that.

I know some guys come from a cash background and that also can give you an edge in other ways.
