When gobbo backed me for MTTs (I was 13? 14?) I flew out to vegas with my dad to pick up like $10K in cash from Jimmy. He's absolutely awesome and I feel about about omitting him from the list of people who helped me a lot with MTTs and everything in general. I love me some gobbo!

The Bond18 house party story is probably the most epic of all time. I got really ****ed up and was pretty much already a mess. TT_Fold challenged me to do 3 tequila shots in 2 minutes. I had no chaser, couldn't throw up, had to do the shots out of tall cups, and couldn't drink anything for like 5 minutes after.

I had absolutely no drinking tolerance at all and was even smaller than I am now. 3 tequila shots in 2 minutes is a walk in the park for most of you guys here, but I was surely a huge underdog to do it. Ricky is known for always getting the best of it in props, and he offered me 5:1 (his 500 to my 100) on doing it. I drunkenly accepted and a huge crowd gathered in Bond's kitchen to watch. I think there's probably pics/video somewhere but who knows.

I ended up pulling it off but it was not pretty. I came very close to throwing up. Literally for 1-2 years after this bet I couldn't even think about the word tequila without getting sick to my ****ing stomach. It was not worth it. I really don't think I'll ever be able to drink tequila again. Scarred for life.

You're from Michigan if I remember correctly. Do you plan on playing the Heartland Poker Tour at Soaring Eagle this May? I know it's kind of a joke as far as live events go, but it is 18+.

There's a huge mistake in your OP. You are definitely a MTTc legend sir.

If this isn't too personal, whats the most amount of makeup you've been in and at what age?

Re: CompleteDonk in the Well

i've heard that story before. tell me more about your life. how does your dad feel about all this?

as someone who dropped out of high school my biggest regret is not furthering my education. i strongly encourage you to consider going to college sooner rather than later, as it just keeps getting easier to make excuses. you are probably one of my favorite poker friends, wish you the best.

Re: CompleteDonk in the Well

Good read so far. Dont think these class as crossing the line:

1. Do you feel not being able to play on stars for 3 months was suitable punishment?

2. You mentioned people backed you, THEN found out your age. Did none of them have a moral problem with you being underage?

3. Would you back an underage player?

You seem a good poster and person but people seem to being bias toward you because of this, what you did was still very wrong.

Re: CompleteDonk in the Well

Do you remember doing 1k flips with me at a 5/10 game in the Bahamas a few months ago (you were drinking champagne iirc)? And then stealing my phone to text someone that everyone in your 5/10 game was a massive fish? That was a bad move man, gotta keep us fish happy

grats on the bday, if your not going to college go backpacking, you'll love it
I have been to a ton, as long as you're with someone who's an adult or looks like an adult they don't really care. It's pretty to sneak in even if they do care. It's 17+ here anyway for rated R movies

Thanks. I am for sure going to do a ton of travelling.

I'm definitely relieved I can openly talk about everything and not have to be vague or lie about anything. I had to be touchy because directly incriminating yourself usually isn't a good idea.

Thanks

Travel plans after WPT Hard Rock?
Underage gambling is very bad as a whole and think the laws should stay the same as they are today. I'm not sure if I'd go back and change much about my past if I could, though. I wasn't mature enough when I first started, but poker and the swings have matured me more than most other things. I also used poker as sort of a crutch to get through a lot of rough times in my life. It took my mind off of everything and let me expand my brain.

I think I was pretty mature for my age when I first started playing HSMTTs, but not close to mature enough to know what I was getting myself in to. I wasn't mentally prepared for the swings or realized how big they could be.

I believe maturing and realizing how big the swings can be in poker both financially and mentally have been the biggest factor in me turning in to a winning player. I haven't gotten angry over a bad beat, or a bad run in a very long time. It's also carried over to real life. I never sweat the little things and have learned to just brush things off. I see people getting upset over very trivial things that I would never care about if they happened to me.

I believe I ran pretty damn far below expectation at MTTs in my life, but don't think I was as good as I thought I was. I certainly over estimated my edge in everything and didn't play enough soft tournaments. I have to thank people like you and Ricky for showing me how to manage my MTT schedule and get the maximum value out of it. Many (mostly backed) HSMTT players make a huge mistake when it comes to actually knowing what to play. They will just load up all of the biggest **** and play a session.

No real travel plans set in stone yet. I'll think about possibly going to Peru with Marty, as I really want to start travelling overseas ASAP.

Re: CompleteDonk in the Well

Hey cool that ur doing this. Few questions about HUNL do u review ur sessions? if so do u mostly just review sessions vs tough opponents? What are types of things u do whle reviewing to make it more productive? like things u actively try to think about that arent as easy in game. Is it best for me not to game select at all at 50./1 and just try and play regs all the time? Any random thoughts to help with my HU game?
