Hi guys, I'm curious what people think about staff members of company such as Party Poker/Unibet/Pokerstars playing their live events?

Obviously not floor/tourney staff but more those in the office - support staff etc.
To me it seems like the more fish the better! Especially in >$1-5k events!

If it's announced ahead of time then I'm fine with it.

Out of simple curiosity, why would you have an issue if they didn't announce it?

Would you want them to wear a badge stating they work for the site?

A few years back Stars held a 500k guarantee at the Isle of Man. Due to poor satellites/over optimism/too late in promotion they weren't going to reach the guarantee. A week prior to the event they announced that Stars employees were going to be able to play... so from a players perspective this is bad as it's that many more players to walk through and doesn't add to the prize pool.

tbh I don't think the sudden announcement was malicious... but they should have announced it sooner... and tbh had they it probably would have brought more players to the event as the employees, for the most part, are very good people and it's nice to meet them.

It was 2013, it was announced a good few weeks in advance (close to a month before the main event) at the same time as the event schedule was announced.
