I have also met a couple of french poker pros over the last year and most of them have been some of the nicest people travelling the european circiut. The EPT has a regular cast of dealers and some of them are french and are doing a terrific job.

But in the one year I have been travelling around Europe playing live tournaments I have NEVER seen favorism even close to what the french players are enjoying in this event, and it's clear that a lot of them knows it and are abusing it to the absolute maximum.
This is downright cheating and you better believe that I am gonna post about it when I see it, you seriously think I will put a reputation I have taken years to build and put it up against one of the biggest events on european ground because I have some grudge against french people?

If you weren't here and had nothing to do with the incident please don't tell me how people are and aren't being treated. It's not a coincidence that the 10-15 americans I have talked with has had the same experience as me here. Please don't use this thread as an excuse to to display your hate towards danes and americans, thank you.
lol, seriously?

Can't argue with the fact that people are getting cheated out of equity but it still seems like it's mostly ignorance and favoritism, to me.

Suf hands that are being retrieved from the muck and declared live after an opponent's hole cards have been seen surely must be considered cheating.

I really shouldn't post if I can't take the time to thoroughly think about the situation and post my opinion clearly but I just mean that, when making such a serious accusation, we should be really careful how we word it. The more blatant accusations are more likely to be cheating then ignorance but the comments that a bunch of Americans had similar experiences kind of imply that there was some kind of premeditated plan to cheat the non-french and I think that's unlikely.

So, I guess, I'm saying that there was probably some cases of willful cheating along with a bunch of ignorance and favouritism. :P

Re: Cheating accepted in Partouche Poker Tour

since when did premeditation have anything to do with the severity of cheating?

Re: Cheating accepted in Partouche Poker Tour

Another ****ty situation on Day 2 of this event, we were playing with the worst cards ever, which had solid color backs and unintentional marks on many random cards. I asked why we were using different cards than the rest of the week and was told by the floor that they couldn't inform me as to why. Floorman laughed after he said this.

The pocketfives version of mementmori's rant is on page 1 of google now. Also, after talking with my dad about the region the casino is in he says it's not surprising. Imagine the stuff going on there as the equivilent of the stereotypical stuff that you think happens in the southern US when you think of the "good old boys club" and people getting local government favors.

Re: Cheating accepted in Partouche Poker Tour

I talked with the tds in french regarding some of the **** that happened during the tourney and I just think theyve no clue what to do in most of the situations. They allowed people to speak any language during-after hands and I complained several times and they didn't do anything. I had a 3b pot vs a russian and another russian talked to him during the hand in russian, i was like wtf is this.

I also heard that the 1a is the day with ALL the qualifiers, so its like 40times softer then 1b.

It was a really shady tourney.
