I came to Cannes this year for the first time to play the Partouche events and I must say that this was truly a first class event. I didn't see anything happen that made me feel uncomfortable in the four events I played. There was more security here than I've encountered in any other venue and I hope that others follow suit and tighten up their operations. I will certainly be back for more Partouche events. Hopefully someday they'll reduce the absurd rake in the cash games so I can indulge when there are no mtts to be played.

Thanks Tim, I thought some of the security adjustments were over the top until I realized how easy it was to control the media and did not have busted players/ family constantly walking in the tournament area which I think is better for the players in the tournament.

hi everyone this is my first post. So I am English and have played in France a few times. if you dont speak French you are at a huge disadvantage. If you are not French that is even a bigger disadvantage! Non French winners of French competions are in a league of their own! I dont know how they do it.

The French collude. You should be aware of this. To them this is not cheating it is 'just helping a freind' (an actual quote frow a wpt sat in Marakesh). All rullings will be in favour of a 'local' - which is not fair but get used to it!

In France there is no 'enlish only at the table'. Why should there be? French is the language here!

The WSOP (europe) has moved to Cannes this year after being in London... well guys and gals get ready for some outrageous rullings! If this comp stays in France for more than 3 years ill eat my hat.

Having said all this i still play in France but well below my usuall limits - like 5 times below so if it goes pear shaped i can at least have a great meal and some great wine and experience some great weather. And everyone dresses so well. Viva La France!

i played w her at a satty in san remo, not only georgeous but plays pretty well too
