I'm going to take this advice! I've been thinking about giving mtt's a more serious shot here lately myself. thanks ebet33
Re: Advice for cash grinder swithing to MTTs(online)
Relentless folding, and very select spots of raw aggression. My MTT stats and profits have ballooned since I started basically folding everything below group 1's for the first 4 levels. Any of those hands are played hard and selectively if a flop bet is called. I dropped calling or opening with med-low pairs and only do so in late position. I know I am on an upswing but in general my runs are far far deeper now, as those were both huge leaks for me. Most important I think is not pushing in any position with likely dominated hands when short...I'll push an 87 long before a KJ or the like since my "run into dominated hand and lose" outcome's happened too frequently. At least now 1-4 times my mediocre non dominated hand catches and wins. My notes show more loses by moving in with those hands when I really didn't have to yet, but felt it was my time to steal a pot or whatever....(kq, kj, qj, j10....any of those non suited spaced paint cards)...now I will all but blind out before I take a floater with a mediocre hand. Say what you will, this is my experience anyway.

I am in a similar situation to OP and playing 100NL cash games.
I do decent in tournys everytime I play but I want to get much better, and my problem is definitely shoving ranges during the mid-late stages.
Can anyone recommend the best books to start out with, and also updated ones on "M" etc? I see most people use BBs now for decisions instead of M, would appreciate any books that have updated info since the HOH series and not too math heavy.
