Looking for other 45 man grinders stakes don't matter just looking for good players to talk strategy and hands with. I play the $3 45 mans on stars and will hopefully be moving up in the next month or 2. Just started putting in volume so I wanted to find some people with more experience.

Don't play 90 mans. Not worth it IMO. 45mans or 180! Few factors: How fast they fill up, how long they take, payout.

hmmm. don't quite understand your reasoning. the 90 mans filled up fast enough for me. can you be more specific? The ones i played on FTP seemed the most popular at the buyin level i was looking for.

he was talking about stars. there the 45s fill up way faster than the 90s. its opposite at FT at those levels since its turbo & ko and tons of donks love that.

I have always lost in both these and the 18-man turbos, guess I'm not very good with 10 bbs, or I'm way too obsessed with running over the FT bubbles

i split time between 4.40/180's, 6.50 45's and mtt's... 6.50 45's are by far the softest of the three for making a profit in my opinion... just need to be able to handle decent sized downswings

I'm a reg at the $6.50s. Not that high of an ROI (15% over 700 games) but, whatevs

I'm debating on grinding 18 or 45 man and cant make up my mind.

45s easier imo.

Depends on how well you know ICM as well. Its easier to get away with not knowing it inside out in the 45s than the 18s

play em for a week and you wont have a mind to make up

was a $3 reg. But on a sick breakeven run right now. Never even thought I would have a 800 game breakeven stretch in 3s.. !!

Maybe because I've started 180s and it has influenced my shoving and calling ranges (lighter) in mid-late (esp, around bubble) levels in 45s

btw, I'm effuno99 on stars.

During the 2.5k game break-even streak I'm getting out of I've played 890 3.25s and have a 2.78% ROI. I've prolly played 2119 as 6.50 45s lifetime and am running at 22.06%. The games may have gotten marginally tougher, but I still see numerous people limp-folding every time at under 10bbs, calling off all their chips on the bubble with a hand like JTs even though there are 2 micro-stacks behind, etc. Everything I've looked at shows that I'm making better decisions with more consistency then I used to, so I just trust that it will improve.

In summary, this game isn't the easiest way to make a consistent paycheck.

Oh, and BTW, in before norwoodmatt says that a 2.5k break-even streak means I'm horrible at this game

i've permed move from $3 to $6 after a decent sunday playing some MTTs, 18th in a 3r and a final table of an $11 FO...

Struggling with these atm. Might chuck in some 18 mans again.

i started off playing 45 mans, but moved to 180s and now 18s (shiip the sharkscope star )
