Great read - entertaining after a long nights grind!
Look - Diego's story is not a new one. He is young, he became flush with cash almost over night, he went out and bought his momma and himself a couple of homes (apartments) and splashed money around showing off his new wealth to his friends and family including financing a failed music career!
In fact, I would bet my left NUT he was living/partying like a movie star for 3-4 months or whatever the time frame.
Than "BOOM" the winnings are gone, there are bills to pay and girl friends with needs in the "new lifestyle." Talk about a nightmare of a Hangover!!!
This happens to immature individuals all over the world who get their beak wet for the first time and recklessly blow through all the money.
Unfortunately a CONTRACT is a CONTRACT and this is really an extension of a man or woman's WORD. Goes back thousands of years kids.
Yes, we can empathize with Diego. Clearly he blew through his cash/winnings very irresponsiblely and shows poor lack of judgement, life-planning, etc....
BUT A MANs WORD IS HIS BOND AND A CONTRACT IS A CONTRACT.
And theft is theft.
Just my 2 cents
