I cant remember the levels after 50/100 but both are identical and go something like what Vincent listed.

In previous feedback threads, the former has been complained about quite a lot as a complete waste of time for the first three levels (20/40, 30/60, 40/80) whereas the second hasnt been complained about at all as far as i can recall. Therefore why not just adopt the second for all events rather than complicating things further or changing the structure of events that are fine already?
the structure vincent listed is fine obviously, the baseline first 4 levels is more of a live thing where obviously they don't want to go out of their way and introduce 5T$ chips for no reason -

I'm fine with either tbh, as long as the limit events don't start at 20/40

Love the buyins, schedule and times. Great job stars, but +1 to the NL08 comments above

Regarding Fixed Limit Events:

I'm with Soepgroente and Jackal here. No 20/40, 30/60 and very small increments afterwards makes for much smoother tournies that play better. Should start at 50/100, so early play is meaningful. I don't care much whether we play 50/100 for 1 or 4 levels, either is fine. But if you just make the Stud/Draw games the way flop/mix games are (which have a great structure btw) everyone is happy.

Other than that the schedule looks supernice to me. A few less gimmicks, a bit more PLO, very nice selection of "other" games, NL 2-7 is back, great job

Perhaps we can do something like that for TCOOP or SCOOP in 2013, instead. Others' thoughts?
I don't know why you would replace a more popular, standard format (FR NLO8... no gimmicks) with a much less popular, much less common format.

Why don't you test out combinations of various games/formats (Big O, 6max, 4max, ante up, whatever) in SCOOP and/or micromill, where the buy-ins are lower? Certainly don't replace existing, popular, more standard formats... supplement them.

I thought TCOOP was a nice idea, but in most cases the structures were a completely disaster IMO. An ante up tourney should be especially affected by already poor structures, turning them into even more of a lottery than they were.

It's good to include players from all around the world. I just don't understand why there are 6/62 events at 6 AM ET... and yet 2 of the 4 PL/NLO8 events are that time. I'm not sure the logic behind that. I don't see a large proportion of O8 players from Australia and Asia. I could see 1/6 at that time being an O8, but why not replace on of the O8 MTTs with a HORSE/8game/TripStud (could be 6 max if you don't want to duplicate) to give that region some more choice, or else just another NLHE/PLO that will still draw large numbers (yet still have many similar MTTs at later times).

Do you realize how popular O8 is at WSOP, and that very few of those players are from Australia/Asia?

plz no anteup and no superturbo for the NLO8 event.
if u have to do anything with it,make it a knockout.
could u run PLO8 and NLO8 steps that end with a 320$ ticket or 265$ ticket if it is a knockout?
a mixed O8 pl/limit in the 215$ range would be nice.
the normal LO8 is allways too expansive for me

agreed with making the nl08 a regular tournament instead of ante up.... Also, very happy with the distribution of tournament buyins.. i.e. i disagree with raidalot. I love the idea of playing huge field great structured tournaments and I think that's the point of Wcoop, rather than catering to the high stake mtt crowd. With that in mind, I think stars made the right decision in not having too many 1k+'s and plenty of 2-300's.

edit: Mixed o8 plz!

My suggestion sneaks in 3 extra levels that are cut out at the start, though they're not really necessary, but if you want to keep the tournament length intact etc

Needs more > 1k buyins.

For higher stakes players SCOOP is so much more significant than WCOOP, and there are already so many tournaments in the 100-300 range, CHAMPIONSHIPS should be about bigger buyins that people can satty into and stuff.

Yeah, very disappointing with the buy-in levels. I agree that the sunday majors (SM/SWU) should be converted as they are but it needs more $500+ MTTs in there.

Re: ** 2012 World Championship of Online Poker -- Tentative Schedule Thread **

Make the saturday $320 and sunday $500 extra wcoop events with bigger buyins?

Have sats to all 2nd chance events

Make a 2nd chance leaderboard to encourage play in these events

Have 1 or 2 freezeout sats during peak hours run daily a while before wcoop kicks off.Maybe a special rebuy sat too.
