Structure Question: NL Minimum Bet late-streets

Will someone please confirm for me if it is usual to have the min-bet double on 4th-street (the Turn) in NL Hold'em? I know this is a weird question, because functionally, only newbies typically want to make min-bets after the Turn in NL Hold'em, I just want to know the truth.
E.g., If playing in a game with $1-2 blinds, the min-bet before and after the Flop is $2, but, does the min-bet typically rise to $4 (double big-bet) on the Turn, like in Limit, OR does the min-bet just continue from the last raise-increment of a previous betting round?

I once played a limit home game where the betting went down on 4th and 5th. It was weird. I made a bunch of money.
