To be clear, it is not just voting for me. It is voting for me with such a bad case. Lots of people are (mistakenly) voting for me now, but not all are doing so in a wolfy way. Nightwood did it in a wolfy way, and that is why he is on my suspect list.

I was a villager in lost wolves, who got nk'd by the vigilante (lol esse).
FWIW, I got the same feeling from night, which is why I said at the beginning that I would be fine with wagoning him. Also his "i don't wanna be part of a village that acts this way" could definitely be a "howl ong". Not to mention, if it's not, I recall PM doing something of that sort in a game where he was a wolf. Quite rudimentary, which is what I feel about Night's game.

1) Fracas was a terribad vote, and ZeTurd should know that. It's in poor taste at best to try to lynch a newbie d1 in his first game, unless he posts "I'm a wolf" or something like that. More to the point, every fracas post I read was pretty villagery.

2) I absolutely HATE that second line.

The construction "I'll vote X over Y" says that you want to vote X - however, it implies that you would consider voting Y, or that voting Y has crossed your mind - even though you never said so. Basically, you get to vote and call someone a good vote, and you also get to cover yourself for any eventuality for Y - if Y is lynched and comes up wolf, well, he was your 2nd preferred wagon; if he is lynched and comes up villa, well, you voted for X over him for a reason!

For that reason I've always found that phrase wolfish. It says very little but appears to say a lot; it allows you to fill in the meaning later to fit the situation. It gives the impression that you've considered voting X, Y, and Z, and have an excellent reason for voting X, without actually saying anything about that consideration or that reason.

The other part I hated about the second line was the players - I'm reading fracas as villagery, I had FCBL down as villager, and dnky as villager - but the other two are pretty wolfy to me and I'd say there's a pretty good chance that at least one of them is wolf. Furthermore, I never saw ZeTurd explain how FCBL is a good vote - in fact, I really never saw anyone give a good explanation.

Basically, ZeTurd saying that he wants to vote 2 people who seem villager (1 of whom turned up villager), but doesn't want to vote 2 people who seem wolf to me, really alarms me.
lol @ me being wolfy

Will move back to FCBL over Sun/elliot/dnky though". But the latter reveals that the poster has at least given some thought to the other players and has ranked them as clearer the FCBL. To the extent there is "wiggle room" of the type felix describes it is either (a) equally present in not mentioning the other players at all; or (b) can be resolved by asking the poster questions AT THE TIME of the post. Pulling out the next day and just saying "I don't like it" doesn't move the ball one iota in that regard.

Moreover, bolstering the reasoning by reading a ton into disagreements about d1 reads is very weak imo.

All-in-all, this post gets Felix wolf points rather than villa points from me.
Good points. I agree that lynching a noob on their first day isn't cool, but it's not wolfy. Zeturd doesn't give noobs free passes iirc.

It also doesn't make much sense to call Zeturd wolfy because you disagree with his day 1 reads of a couple players that have polarized reads. A lot of people are calling me wolfy and a lot of people are calling me villagery. There isn't a consensus with Elliot either.

BTW, did anyone ever figure out what Luckay was hoping to accomplish with his "angleshoot"?

Re: WW Road Trip 2009 ------ Game Thread.

spotlight on XXSooted please:
He hasnt been posting much, has been focusing his attention on a limited number of players, and hasnt been making a lot of reads overall.
I remember him posting way more than in this game as a villa in HP, but it might have been unusual circumstances because he was mostly chatting with his buddy Xr8ed.
Is he as quiet as here as a villa sometimes?

Anyone opposed to dnky/night/brian wagons for today? or the idea of 3 wagons in general.

But I think it is wrong, for reasons elliot alluded to. If zt had just picked out some random names, it would be one thing, but by listing the other wagons, it is clear that he is just ordering his preference in case fracas doesnt take off. Of course it does make me wonder why zt is following the lead of caedus, but saying that you will vote one wagon to save the other wagons is not wolfy.
I get a villagery tone from this.

I really don't think we should be wagonning Eliot today at all. I don't like having the 2nd lead wagon being wagonned on d2 unless there are unresolved issues surrounding it. There wasn't really a push to save Eliot, so I don't see him as an immediate danger. I'm not saying he looks villa by any means, I just think its not useful for us to wagon him today. I prefer to learn about voting patterns on more than 3 people over 2 days (You lose numbers if you keep wagonning the same person every day and get less data imo).

But Eliot, plz try and be active as much as possible even though your busy irl, the case on you yesterday was weak, but there is a case on you.

Although if they were both wolves I doubt he'd interact with him like that
I agree with this, I don't think Aries is a wolf, but if Felix turns up wolf, I think we really need to take a hard look at Aries. He was on my villa list yesterday, then he did something stupid to get him dropped to pergatory but now I've got him back on the villa side.

Re: WW Road Trip 2009 ------ Game Thread.

after rereading yesterday and reading today i am putting brian in my wolfy category. yesterday he kept saying that he wanted the masons to out themselves which seems not in the villages interest. then after luckay dies he says that the lynch should be postponed. this seems to favor the wolfs. at eod he pushes for a nightwood wagon even going so far as to correct the mod on the votecount. i actually see nightwood as village because of the way he wanted to analyze the luckay votes. luckay seemed like an easy vote at the time and easy for wolves to jump in on a villager bandwagon

What was Brian's reveal?

No, I got no objections to any of those, I also like the 3 wagon approach, gives us slightly more info.

I'm going to go do a read of Brian now.

McAvoy:
You voting Elliot 1 minute after EOD got me thinking that you could be w/w. I was curious to see if you would vote him again today, and you are defending him.
How wrong I am?
