World PEEHS 2 - CANADA - Reveal Sat 20th May World PEEHS 2 - CANADA - Reveal Sat 20th May

This is the second in a four part PEEHS series.

Part 1 - USA
Part 2 - Canada
Part 3 - UK + Ireland
Part 4 - Rest of World

Round 2 CANADA

Reminder, if you haven’t already, that you can put a country name in the subject line of your entry PM to nominate a country to be part of PEEHS 4

If you missed PEEHS 1 then you can still enter this one.

If you're new to PEEHS then here's how it works:

You need to come up with an answer to each of the questions below without any form of research. You get 1 point for a correct answer and 1 additional point for each person who gave the same answer as you. Any incorrect answer scores 1.5x the score of the most popular answer. Lowest score wins.

tl;dr - give me the most obscure correct answer that you know for each question.

If you have any queries then please either ask in thread or PM me about it.

NO RESEARCH
PM ME YOUR ANSWERS IN A UNNUMBERED, UNSPACED LIST

This seems wrong imo. It's probably closer to 2x/year and I'd be surprised any of them don't have a wiki page.

So housenuts spotted an error with my Q3

Here's what it says:

Quote:
3). Name a Canadian Hockey Player that's been inducted into the Hall of Fame within the last 30 years and has his own Wikipedia page (23 answers) OR Name a year in which Canada competed in the Summer Olympics but did not win a gold medal in athletics (8 answers)
Here's what it should say:

Quote:
3). Name a Canadian Hockey Player that's been inducted into the Hall of Fame within the last 30 years and has his own SIMPLE ENGLISH Wikipedia page (23 answers) OR Name a year in which Canada competed in the Summer Olympics but did not win a gold medal in athletics (8 answers)
I will PM all entrants with the change to the question and you can obviously resubmit

I think they use only the most 1000 (or something) common English words, intended for people not totally fluent in English.

Anyway, in.

edit: they use 850 words, and a few rules to simply grammar, explained here

What day is it?

Edit: never heard of the Simple English Wiki, seems like it would be a challenge to write a bio on those terms.
